My entire family enjoys The Clinton Fall Festival! This year, I've asked for the entire weekend off from work...don't want to miss anything. With a pavlovian response, my mouth is watering thinking about the elephant ears, gyros, and BBQ Chicken right now! The Parade on Sunday is the Highlight. For "out of towners" if you can, stay at the Clinton Inn or the Tecumseh Inn so you don't miss a thing. This Festival is well worth the trip and has fun, family oriented things to do all day and alot of "night life" events planned as well.
If you have kids-buy the "all day" ticket for the Inflatables...they usually have two locations (by the Middle School and down at Tate Park). This is money WELL SPENT as it gives the kids a place to run around and have lots of fun=believe me, they WILL sleep that night! lol
Bring your camera! The Petting Zoo isn't your old run of the mill kind...baby llama's, bison, cows, lambs, kangaroos, camels, goats, zebra's, etc. The car show at Tate Park is fantastic! I see that we now have asphalt walkways throughout the park and along the River Raisin.
The Arts and Crafts booths are so varied and special...you will find "just the thing" for what you have been looking for for years. I suggest you visit the Lost Arts section by the Community Center. Last year, the Scrimshaw man talked at length with my youngest son regarding his craft and the History of it. Imagine an older gentleman and a 7yr. old completely happy.(The older man to have a chance to share his craft and knowledge and the younger man to ask questions and frankly, relay his own History Channel knowledge.)
As you can tell, I REALLY love Fall Festival. I am NOT a spokesperson, official, nor business owner...I just live here in this little Village. I'm the person who wears really big sunglasses on Sunday during the Parade because I'm Happy and crying...THIS is what America is all about!

Daily Horoscope for November 29

Libra

You might find yourself feeling a bit moody today as the Moon enters your eighth house of sex, money, and power. In fact, the next two days or so may be rather intense, so plan to exercise your frustration today. It isn't that anyone has done anything wrong, it's just that it seems you are working very hard but not getting anywhere. That isn't really true, you know. Have faith.
