When in war fighting to keep this country free so people like you can have religious freedom God honors soldiers read your bible and see what the father has to say about that. Confused. You are confused. Obama passed health reform by pushing down everyone throat when he had control on both the house & senate. Secondly, you grandmother can get help for cancer treatments. Try doing a little research the is medicaid assistance programs to go along with Medicare. There are also grants you can get to help. Get off your tush and go get her the assistance she needs. Also the cancer centers will not turn you down as long as you make even the smallest monthly payments. Back to taxing the rich. This makes zero sense. And if you believe in that line you are being feed by the government. Who decided that 250,000 was the cut off line for being poor. There are pro-life and anti-gay marriage democrats. Abortions will still happen even if the bill is turned around. Gay marriage has nothing to do with your church, I can assure. They just want to be able to have the same benefits that you have. They want to make a lifetime commitment to the person they love and to protect their families.
Helping the poor is a thing that you should be doing. Even if they are "lazy", they probably have children who are suffering for it. There are great programs that some local churches are doing to help with this, but it isn't enough.
I'm not sure what you're talking about with "rights to prisoners."

My comment goes to the need for real, authentic, people and community oriented leadership development. We MUST as citizens of our collective communities commit to support, vote for, and elect new people to office that demonstrate a desire to re-build our communities. With new leaders (regardless of party affiliation) we can start anew with development ideas and begin to resolve some of the issues that affect our hometown. We need Board of Ed. members who are not inheriting the seat and who are not involved in nepotism practices but who actually have the interets of the youth and future in mind and in practice. We need City leaders (mayor/council) who want to grow and re-vitalize the downtown area for local merchants, who seek out investment development, and who are not self-serving and trying to create city jobs for political favors and support from vested interest families. We need County leaders (judge executive/magistrates) who actually want to create an environment whereby development efforts can be realized through effective collaboration with state agencies, federal programs, and private corporations. In essence, to be blunt and to quote a newly released book, we need to "Throw the Bums Out" and start fresh with leaders who want more for the community and for the youth than corruption, nepotism, and poverty.
