No, I'm not saying that by any means. I just don't understand the motive behind it.
Clay County is one of the poorest counties in the nation. I would assume that most people would be Democratic because of it.
I honestly don't know the motives of why the people here are Republican. I asked a few people and they honestly just said that they are because their parents were.

Just because the area is considered poor.. It doesn't mean we are lazy, or depending on the government to hold our hands and support us.. Plus this poor area still believes in God and morality for what it's worth..

You can still be a Christian and be a Democrat. I don't know where you came up with the idea that you can't. If anything, the Democrats generally want to help the poor, which is what the Bible tells us to do.

Yeah if you are a hypocrit. Most of you want to kill the unborn, have gay marriage, support the lazy and give rights to prisoners..what a great party...we should all sign up for that one..

He can't do much due to the Republican-majority Congress. He did manage to pass a health reform, which I wish was passed earlier. My great grandmother is too poor and can't afford treatment for cancer. He does want to increase taxes on the rich, particularly those that make more than $250,000 a year.

There are pro-life and anti-gay marriage democrats. Abortions will still happen even if the bill is turned around. Gay marriage has nothing to do with your church, I can assure. They just want to be able to have the same benefits that you have. They want to make a lifetime commitment to the person they love and to protect their families.

Helping the poor is a thing that you should be doing. Even if they are "lazy", they probably have children who are suffering for it. There are great programs that some local churches are doing to help with this, but it isn't enough.

I'm not sure what you're talking about with "rights to prisoners."

I'm confused on the concept of why this area generally votes Republican. It doesn't make sense.

Republicans are generally the rich. Take Mitt Romney, who is the likeliest Republican candidate for the 2012 election, for example. He has an estimated wealth of $250 million. He is the 12th richest politician in the United States.

Republicans support the rich by wanting everyone to pay the same taxes. Democrats want the rich to pay more than the poor on taxes.

You're also very mature for calling me a "dumocrat."

No, of course not. I was just using him as an example. However, he does have more money than any of his opponents.

Romney has already won the Republican primary elections in several states. He is the likeliest candidate to run against Obama in the 2012 election.

well here's my motive, the Dems support everything the Bible is against, abortion, civil unions, even gay marriage, and alot more, most people in Clay Co believe the Bible is the word of God, I would never vote for a liberal, I will vote for someone who shares my principles, I will never vote my wallet, If you do, you will lose in the long run, so please don't vote for ungodly people, listen to their views and see which one's live the most moral and decent life, but withthat said, never trust a politician. Another thing, a couple years ago the Dems controlled everything, the house , the senate, and the presidency, was anything done for Clay Co at this time, Absolutely not, so don't blame all our problems on just the Republicans, there is plenty of blame to go around, Remember the bailouts by this president, over a half a billion dollars to Solundra(solar energy)look what a shape this country is in, yes Bush left it bad and Obama made it worse

Vote buying has a long history in Clay County. If you are not a republican you don't get your vote bought. People who sell their votes are clueless.

I got news for you all things going to get worse. We have elected fools as leaders and they only have one thing in mind that is power. Power gives them control over the money and money is what most people are after. When this idiot we got as president was running for office people refused to listen or watch what he had done or was saying. He said he wanted to do away with coal minning well his regulation through the EPA is sure doing that. He told you he wanted abortions to kill the baby and free a woman from the burden of rasing and unwanted child and yet you voted for him. He is piting people against each other, if you have worked and done good he wants you to share with thjose to sorry or ignorant to help them, selfs and you voted for him. I know this going to make certain people mad, and i be called a racist but voting for someone just because of his colored is stupid, man i love herman cain and he was black and we saw how the powers of both parties done him just because he was conservative. This act along should tell any intelegent person whats going on. Now you can blame anyone or anything you like but untill we the people put aside the d or r in a candidate, stop listening to a corrupt media and use that brain God gave us then nothing will ever change. We the people have the power and they should fear us not the other way .
Its come down now to to societies, ones that work and want better things and then the ones that are moochiers, lazy, worthless and happy with a government check and stamps. Whats so frightening is they getting to be more of the moocheiers, lazy worthless people then they are the working ones. When 54% of people have to depend on the government for help then something has to give and all you sad sacks can say oh its the rich fault, i got news flash if not for the rich they be a lot less jobs, companys and oportunities for you to get ahead in live. I ran a business and i can tell you this fact a company is only as good as its workers and if you got wasteful workers you not in business long. Now you can sad rich don't pay enough well the more you give these idiot politicans the more they will want in the name of helping you but like fools you beleive them. Well hows the help- they giving you today, electric bills doubling, food prices doubling and medical, gas and just everday things get so high you get sick at it. thats my rant, like it, love it or leave it i don't care but if you elect fools then what does that make you.

You're in the mood to spend today, especially on the spur of the moment. Be careful if you can't afford to make any impulse purchases, because a lack of cash won't stop you! If you do decide to splash out on something, you may be disappointed when you get it home and you might even decide to take it back.
