Ok then - Wow. Thanks. So, what's the meaning of life? Lol. Just Me wrote: <quoted text> I could be wrong but I think these things must happen first: The outcome of the petitioned local option election has to be validated by the state. If the outcome is approved then the “yes” vote carried and the city council would need to decide whether or not to actually permit alcohol sales given the public has now allowed the council to make this decision. The city council could say no. If the council does allow sales of alcohol they will need to decide what types of sales to permit and the times and days when such sales can take place. Sales could be restricted to restaurants only. Only the sale of beer and other malt beverages could be sold. Sales could be disallowed for Sunday. Alcohol sales could end at 10:00 PM. Restaurants could be restricted to the sale of wine and beer only. Package stores could be limited to the sale of beer only. As a side note, I understand the city’s vote did not allow the council to approve the sale of alcohol in bars. A second election to include that specific initiative would first need to occur. Applications for the sale of alcohol are first submitted to the city of Manchester for their approval and include any requisite public comment period, usually 30 days. Following approval by the city, applications for the sale of alcohol are then submitted to the Alcohol Beverage Control Board in Frankfort for their approval also following any necessary public notice period, usually 30 days. If required and upon local approval, the city of Manchester may then issue a city license to the applicant. If the application is approved by the ABC board, a license is issued to the applicant from the quota of licenses granted to the city for the given license type. Package license holders will place orders with distributors with received stock entered into inventory and placed on shelves for retail sale. Licensed restaurants will have their own timetables for sales. When? Well, however long all that takes.

I say, lets make the entire state of Kentucky wet as hell, tired of driving 70 miles to get a fuckin beer. I fought for this country and am denied my rights to consume alcohol because of some religious fanatic. I have lived in numerous states with the entire state wet and had no problems. Lets do this people, VOTE WET AS HELL!!
