Got Any D Batteries?

Full story: Patch.com

The first local casualty of Hurricane Irene? D batteries. That's right, as Irene draws ever nearer, those clunky batteries that nobody ever seems to remember to stock up on are in short supply across the region, as they are being snapped off store shelves left and right for flashlights and other electronic devices by people who fear power outages ... Anyone besides totally worn out?
That storm yesterday was so stressful! The constant wind...rain... trees limbs flying all over the place... worrying about the tress falling down all day long...trying to get your pets out when it was so dangerous outside...ugh!
I'm worn out... Not sure why. but whenever they called for a Hurriance in our area, we got out of town!
Didn't stick around, didn't have hurricane parties... nope... did not bother to endanger our lives, but yesterday, had to worry about being killed on a hourly basis!
Whoa.. New England is a spooky spooky place to be in when a hurricane hits!
I'm sorry to hear about the 2 dozen people who lost their lives, had their homes destroyed, lost their pets...and the people who are out of electricity now.
Let's be glad though the storm wasn't worse than it was.... Now I am getting a sense of how the people in Dade County, Florida felt.
Funny how the hurricane didn't hit Florida at all, but instead hit the mid-Atlantic and NorthEast instead!

Daily Horoscope for June 3

Gemini

Do a little lateral thinking today and it will work wonders. Don't feel hidebound because you're supposed to do things in a certain way, because this is a great opportunity to try a different approach for a change. Even so, you may have to play down your unorthodox technique when talking to anyone who sticks rigidly to convention.
