Hooves & Paws Rescue has entered a nation wide contest through Care 2 for a chance to win $10,000.00 to help with the cost associated with the animal rescue work that they do in IA, NE and the bordering states. The following e-mail was sent out October 6, 2008 to many people who support the rescue/shelter facility and also many others who have shared their e-mail address with them because of their interest in what they do for the animals who need a place to call home. They are in need of these funds as they are working day and night trying to keep up with the number of abused, neglected and unwanted horses & large breed dogs in Iowa, Nebraska and many other states that have called on their facility for help. As a volunteer at the rescue I am asking for everyone's help to get the word out about this nation wide contest that Hooves & Paws Rescue is involved in. It would be incredible if a local rescue/shelter were able to win this contest.$10,000.00 would go a very long way to help many horses & large breed dogs that they specialize in helping and placing. We welcome you to visit the site below where the votes have been coming in and they continue to come in. We need as many votes as possible to make this happen for the animals. Go to this site and read some of the comments that have been made about this incredible No Kill rescue/shelter facility in Glenwood, IA. They deserve to win this contest!

Genea and Bill are passionate about saving as many animals as possible. I want to help them any way I can."(0 Friends) Mary Badalucco - "They try and take every animal that needs help. They also shelter animals temporarily until a home can be found. they go out of their way to search for animals that have been dumped on the interstate or highways. Many times they find out about the dumping from people on the road spotting the animals being dumped. They are very passionate about what they do and just want to give these animals a chance. They need our help. It is a good shelter that i have only know about in the last couple of years. I cannot always donate each month but they still keep me on their list.
