Danee Helvey Ellsworth, KS	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #1 Mar 22, 2011 I had a bad experience with DeKalb corn seed in 2010. We had 4 other varieties of corn in the same field. The DeKalb seed was the only one that had a very bad stand. It was eaten by cut worms. The DeKalb reps gave me the run around. They said they were going to give me a small amount of replacement seed for 2011 and pay for half of the seed purchsed in 2010. They have not done either. I will never buy anything from DeKalb again.

If the other brands offered a trait that protected against bcw then its no surprise the Dekalb was affected. Growers need to surround themselves with professionals they can trust that offer services that bring value, but with crops taking such a large investment, ultimately growers need to take responsibility in scouting & making sure their crop will perform to its maximum level
