I disagree. I was and am very close to the family as well and frankly I feel like you're trying to make this into a "poor me" situation. We are ALL grieving, including Rachael. People grieve in different ways. Laurie and the girls loved Rachael and she would be heartbroken to know that you are publicly judging her. Shame on you! The fact that you even started this thread disgusts me. YOU are the one making it about Rachael. Think about that when you're lying in bed tonight.

You are entitled to grieve. Thats no reason to lash out at someone for no reason! You can put Rachael down with insults, but no one else can throw one back to you? Like I said before, seems to me you can dish it out but you can't take it. Luckily for you, you weren't asked to do the interview, so you didn't need to hold it together. Rachael did an awesome job. Have you no shame for your completely ridiculous antics? Before you want to point fingers at who's in the wrong here, maybe you should take a good long hard look at yourself. I'll assume you're a grown woman, which I find quite pitiful, that just goes to show that some people never grow up.

Just because someone is strong enough to hold it together doesn't mean they don't care. I am a family friend as well. My point is that Rachael loved that family and the interview wasn't about her. Some might say that people who are truly grieving don't get on Topix and start threads. People grieve in different ways. Rachael did a lot to help many young girls through this. Please don't judge her without knowing what kind of person she is. Laurie and the girls loved her very much. Please respect that.

I am not a dance mom but this topic makes me sick that someone could try to hurt another person just because they are hurting. As an outsider who does not know any of the parties involved, the best thing would have never to started this "topic"

I guess I always thought this site was started to talk about "topics" NOT try to focus on any one person.

Unbelievable I am on your side 100% I too am affected by the loss, of the 4 of them. It really makes me wonder what kind of person Rachael is for having these "dance" moms talk the way they are, they sound like a bunch of rough women, truly some of these post are attacking with words if you wanted to support her simply say so dont put others down!
leave our families alone, let us grieve and get through each day...
Your hilarious! Rough women!? You apparently live under a rock if you think any of them are "rough."

As for your claim that all these roughies are attacking the originator of this thread, you apparently did not read the post. The person attacked Ms. Ghostlaw's morals and ethics.

Thank you community member, from what I can see by these posts from these other women they have no class. I don't believe I insulted anyone, just stated my opinion but they had to bring it to another level. There are people who agree with my opinion or I wouldn't have posted. She should have respectively declined the interview and explained that this is a very hard time for people. I also believe news shouldn't have been there at all, and her doing the interview just gave them the belief they should have been. Also, I think before they responded in her defense they should have considered that I may be a family member...

Well I am sorry but if you were grieving that much you would not have even started this post to keep it going.
You can say others have "No class" but it is you who started this topic that have no class. If you really cared you would never have started some thing like this in the first place.

This whole thing is just so absurd to me. Is this now a competition about who was closer to them and who is grieving the most?! All I will say to everyone on here that actually knows Rachael and also thinks that this is absurd is that words only have as much power as we give them and we have all given this ridiculousness way too much power already. We all know the truth and I hope that Rachael can see how much love and support she has behind her. We need to put a stop to this thread here and now!

I hope Rachael and her dance group will show up and perform at the benefit on wensday August 1st for the Dana and the Planty (sp) family! By the way the media is always around when there is news or a big impact on a community. The story was online on the Msn home page that night. I hope all will put their negative thoughts aside and just think of how these people who lost their lives would like you to act! I am sure it is not the way some are acting. Life is toooo short to be mean and nasty treat people the way you want to be treated!

I do not know miss rachael but I truly think as much as I know everyone wants to put their opinion in and protect and defend miss rachael, instead should have just looked right over this stupid post and never gave "unbelievable" the exact thing she wanted..ATTENTION... This "topix" site is one of the worst sites I've ever seen!

I am HEARTBROKEN, over what I have read. I just had the chance to watch the YNN video. All I saw was a Young Lady that cares for her Team and the family that has passed! I don't have a child that Miss.Rachael would be teaching or taught. I am saying this as someone removed from all sides, but I see nothing wrong with the YNN news release. I understand that SO MANY people are grieving and have the unanswered question of WHY, but don't beat on her because YNN came to her. Be Honored that she CARES about the youth, she truly loves all the kids from what I have read and heard. This accident has been shown across the country, with an outpouring response of people grieving and showing support. We all understand this hits the family so much and no one knows what they are going thru or what they will go thru. As a family that is under such stress, the last thing you should be doing is beating up people showing support even if people don't know or have been in touch.

You first of all need to start watching the news more because then u would realize that most tragedies appear on the news and most of the time have interviewed family members at that time. does it make it right.? I don't know but not for you or I to decide. I also went to the wake and didn't see the husband crying, does that mean he wasn't suffering as he mourned his wife, mom or children. No way, you could tell he was devastated as is rachael. I know her and she loved those girls. The only reason I am posting this is in hopes that you could just admit that you didn't need to publically put Rachael down whether you thought is was right or not. She would have never did this to you or anyone else.

I didn't really want to get involved in these post but knowing how much Rachael was hurt by some of the words said about her, I felt like as one of her closes friends, and also due to knowing all the families involved I needed to say something. I truly respect everyone opinion, and I in no way want to hurt anyone with a post, and feel there is no need for all the put downs. But I do know for a fact that Rachael was truly hurting, and making a post about her on this site was no way to make a honest statement. I saw Rachael on the day she found out about this post and was very upset but she would never tell her "dance moms" or parents to post on here for her. She has more class than that, and as you can see she has not been on here to post any negative comments, or even to talk herself up. She is a strong person who tries to see the positive in everyone and every situation, and teaches this to all her students as well.I hope this will be an end to the post and everyone can live by the positive example she teaches and keep any negativity to yourselfs.

If I may add, the only tasteless person here is the low life who wrote on this stupid thing. You have something bad to say, say it to Rachael. Better yet, say it to me because I would lay you out in 3 seconds flat. Rachael is one of the most kind people I have ever met. As being a dance student of hers for 10 years I'm pretty sure I know her better than the dumb bitch who posted this. When a tragic event happens like this, the news wants to cover it. We all wanted to say something in their memory to show the people who didn't get the priveledge of knowing the Dana's what sincere people they were and what a great loss this has been. Do everyone a favor and grow the f*ck up. I'm 17 years old and not even I would stoop this low. While you're trying to grow up, see if you can grab yourself a life. Because its appearant you don't have one of those either if youre going to post something as stupid as this on a website. You know my name, if you have a problem, get a hold of me. I would defend Rachael with everything I have. It's hard to type with all of your little fingers broken. Trust me hunny, I'm not you, I'm not only brave behind my keyboard.

Seriously Ashley, of course I expect nothing less from someone who is a fan of hers. Is that what you're taught? To "lay someone out". Boy, it's worse than I thought around here. Obviously no one taught you how to conduct yourself like a lady.

I think that the people that post the negative things about Rachael Do not know her and really calling the dance moms rough women you all need to look around. I am not a dance mom but I know a lot of them and they are not rough women, they are caring moms who will squish whatever steps on the hearts of the children and let me tell you Rachael is like a hero to them and if you think that Rachael does not care deeply for each and everyone of those dancers you are wrong. She does not need the news to capitalize on her business she is booming without it she has skill and a heart. Do you think she needed to spend hours preparing a speech for the funeral no but she did she was as heart broken as anyone and was not trying to better herself in anyway shape or form. So unless you know all involved do not comment on the subject. The Dana family has been friends of our family for years and I was personally touched by Rachael and her compassion and concern. So stop your jealous rage and move on.

Maybe its a good thing you dropped out so you can spend more time on your schooling. Start with spelling first, ok?

Good point on the spelling, the shorthand texting stuff is about all she spelled right. We have been with Rachael's dance school for years and if you look at competition videos on youtube of other dance groups, they children are in costumes far more revaling and dancing far trashier than the dancers in ATJ. Even locally, another dance company put a very young girl on stage dancing to an adult top 40 tune that's far and above inappropriate for a child her age. I'm sure Rachael's dance styles and costume choices should not be your current concern. Again back to your poor elementary spelling skills. We have never thought Rachael's dance and costume choices were ever questionable, along with the fact that as young as she is to pull together over 200 dancers into the several dozen dances (different dances every year) that she does. She has a great support system of parents, friends and fellow dance instructors. It's amazing people have such purpose lacking lives they need to target someone like Rachael. We love the way Rachael cares for every student (those that are deserving and appreciative of her care) no matter their skill level, she takes such great care to work with every dancer just as hard as she can. Anyone that questions that sit in the front row of spring recital and watch her help the youngeest kids work through their routines. We can only hope that our daughter can become as good of a person and strive to achieve her goals at such a young age as Rachael has. Find another person in the north country that's 25 years old, has her own highly successful business and is loved as much for what she does with our kids as Rachael Ghostlaw.
