might be better to find out why he feels it necessary to go where he is going. you never know. if no good reason - then find out whyhe is defying authority

The car he was driving had BETTER have been towed from the scene and impounded, just like mine was when I got caught driving with no license two times. The second time, the cop towed my car away and left me on the side of the road in the middle of winter and told me to walk. I was on my way to work when I was pulled over. Was I in the wrong? you bet your ass I was...you have to have a valid license to drive a car, folks. It's the law. You can excuse it as many times as you like, it's still wrong. I lost my car, had to sign it over to the place they towed my car, they would not release it until I went to court, and when I went to court, the judge told me to comeback for trial and would not release the car. The impound fees exceeded the car's value and I had to give it away to satisfy the debt. Never again will I drive without a license. Please tell me this guy lost his car too. It's only fair. If they can take a car from a single mom, on her way to work, then they can take his car too. No excuses.

If u take their car away, they drive someone elses car. Often times other people aren't even aware they lost their license. I think if you lose your license & are going to continue to break the law by driving without one, maybe the judge should set aside a jail cell for you & you can sit in there until you get it back, or learn to obey the law.

Because I was dumb and thought I was above the law, obviously.:) I made a huge mistake in judgement and just thought I wouldn't get caught, since otherwise I don't break the law and I'm a careful driver. I lost my license because I didn't pay my fines. I didn't pay my fines because I worked a sucky ass fast food job and couldn't afford to pay my fines. Since I was so poor, I couldn't afford the $75 fee for a restricted license. Or that's how I reasoned it anyway.
The truth is I fucked up. No one else. No one forced me to blow off my fines. I could have set aside ten dollars a week or something until I had enough money saved to pay these fines. I didn't do that. My fault again.
Although I learned a hard lesson by having my car taken away, I also grew up a little bit that day and I have never once driven a car since. I also used my tax return to pay off all my fines and now I have a clean license once again...but it was all something that could have been prevented in the first place had I not mistakenly believed that I could get away with it. What a dumbass. Now I know better, and I can laugh about it, because it's a fact of life. What else am I going to do, cry about it? I wish I still had that car, no doubt, but it's my own damn fault it's gone.
