Obama changed nothing, he did nothing. Just lip service, trading poor black voters for rich white voters: 1996:“I favor legalizing same-sex marriages” was an answer included on a signed questionnaire to a Chicago gay community newspaper when Mr. Obama was running for the Illinois state Senate. In 2011, a White House aide said someone else filled it out. 2004: As a U.S. Senate candidate, Mr. Obama tells Chicago public television “marriage is between a man and a woman.” In the same interview, Mr. Obama said he wanted to ensure gays and lesbians have “the rights of citizenship” but noted,“I don’t think marriage is a civil right.” 2008: Mr. Obama, running for president, again says marriage should be limited to unions between a man and a woman.“For me as a Christian, it’s also a sacred union… God’s in the mix,” he says in an interview with the Rev. Rick Warren, a leading evangelical minister. 2010: After signing the repeal of a ban on gays openly serving in the military, Mr. Obama tells reporters that “my feelings are constantly evolving” on gay marriage. 2011:“I’m still working on it,” Mr. Obama tells ABC News when asked if he would change his mind on gay marriage before the 2012 election. 2012:“I think same-sex couples should be able to get married,” Mr. Obama tells an interviewer for ABC. http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2012/05/09/time...

I see this as a non-issue and at the bottom of the list for his platform. He will focus on the economy and other stuff 1st. Watch when the debates come up. I can't wait for that!

They prefer same sex relationships, just like heterosexuals prefer opposite sex relationships. This has nothing to do with gay rights, gays marry now, under the same rules as straights. Some marry for money, some for their children and some for love; who are you to judge their marriage? Marriage has always been between man and woman, that's built into the language.

Yea some states disallow same sex marriage. but get to see through some ones eyes who've seen the evil and good in this world.

I am one of those who is bisexual and been picked on since I came out... but as most of us on here is finding it wrong... Yea the Bible does say God wants us to marry the opposite sex not the same, but once you come out people will just have to accept that fact. As I can see through my eyes is that everyone seems like they have homophobia

Brian_G wrote: <quoted text>Yes, there is a difference, and gays know it too. They prefer same sex relationships, just like heterosexuals prefer opposite sex relationships. Look, ole Brian got one sorta right. Brian_G wrote: <quoted text> This has nothing to do with gay rights, gays marry now, under the same rules as straights. No, under rules that treat them as though they were straight. That's the discriminatory part. Brian_G wrote: <quoted text> Some marry for money, some for their children and some for love; who are you to judge their marriage? Who are YOU - Brian_G to judge our marriages? Wow, you could not have emblazened yourself as a bigger hypocrite. Brian_G wrote: <quoted text> Marriage has always been between man and woman, that's built into the language. No, marriage has NOT always been between a man and a woman, and NO, that is not built into any language. Marriage was originally one man and many women, then it was one man and his property (wife), then it was restricted to one man and one woman of the same race, and as of over a decade ago, marriage is also between a man and a man, and a woman and a woman. Not a damn thing you can do to change that.
