I am very much opposed to the state regulating our teaching Gov. Dave Heineman opposes a bill in the Legislature that would require home-schooled students to take standardized tests , he told more than 600 home-schooled students and their parents at the Capitol ... via Lincoln Journal Star

As a "retired" homeschool mom, I can tell you standardize tests are really not needed- homeschoolers test out in upper 80%- I think Public Schools have enough on their plates with out regulation homeschools. I've met few homeschool parents who were extremely dedicated to education.
