1 I really don't think you can group all rightwingers into the "hateful vile beast" category. I have met and happen to know some very nice rightwingers....I have also met and know some very vile hateful leftwingers and progressive liberals. It's a matter of the one person you are dealing with at the time. All this grouping everyone just based on their politics is really sad and misguided. And as far as the ones making rude comments to someone (in this case being this Carol) because of her having diabetes, it really takes a vile asshole to make fun of or be rude to anyone with a disease that none of us are safe from and none of us ask for or "deserve". There's a special place in hell for assholes like that, left or right "wingers". |

2 Insults?? If repeating back to Carol her very own statements/ sentiments is considered an insult I'd suggest she tell the truth. Just because someone is lucky enough to have healthcare shouldn't be a free pass to abuse one's health while complaining about others less fortunate and their bad habits and how much it costs. Complaining about entitlements for some while taking advantage of it yourself is hypocritical. Carol does both. Carol wants to call the shots. Delegate who gets what, according to her rules. If it's insulting to tell the truth so be it. You are right, the hypocrisy here is stifling. |

6 I didn't make fun of Carol's diabetes, that's not my style. I don't think anyone "made fun" of it, just used it as an example to prove a point of the hypocrisy so rampant on the right. Rude and hateful comments come from the rightwingers on here; i.e. when Grey mentioned his cancer treatments; fred said he hoped he would die. That's rightwing hate. Rightwing hate is Jane, who has admittedly followed the homeless to make sure they're homeless and has documented their movements and is contemptuous of the money they beg for. I could go on and on, read the posts from rush10 and eman... When I say rightwingers, I am mainly referring to the people on here in our own little forum. |

5 Allow me to elaborate. Like I said, it took the Democrats about 20 years to recover from the Alger Hiss conviction. This brings us to the mid 60s. Johnson came to power in the period where the communists suffered the severe defeat of the Alger Hiss conviction. If you recall history, by 1968 the so-called "mainstream" media began promoting the first lie in a system of lies about Vietnam, "the war is unwinable." The resumption of the communists' control of the Democratic Party is evidenced by Johnson's quitting the office of President. Again, if you recall Johnson is seeming agony about the Marines at Khe Sanh, if they were overrun, then the US will pull out of Vietnam just like the French did after Dien Bien Phu. The Marines didn't get overrun. The next thing Johnson does is quit, like he was told to do. This is when the Democrats begin duping the population into thinking the war is the Republicans' fault. Again, if you recall history, immediately after the next election, another lie is invented by the Democrats - "Nixon's War." With Nixon in office, the Democrats weren't able to give South Vietnam to the communists easily. They had to get rid of Nixon first. All during this time, the so-called "most trusted man in America" is duping the population with the lies the Democrats are inventing about Vietnam. It was 1973 before the Democrats could deliver South Vietnam to the communists in a defeat of the United States. After the South Vietnamese defeated the single largest invasion of the war without any assistance from US ground combat units, which had been removed from Vietnam the previous year, the Easter Offensive of 1972, the Democrat-controlled congress of 1973 cur off all funding to the country and government of South Vietnam. Additionally, they passed the Case-Church Amendment which prevented any transfer of aircraft, weapons, munitions and supplies from US Armed Forces to South Vietnam. As a result of the 1973 Democrat-controlled congress, the communists invaded a disarmed and defenseless South Vietnam. Since, there has not been an election in Vietnam. Since, the statistically worst case of mass murder in the history of civilization occurred in Southeast Asia. Had the Democrat-controlled congress only allowed the South Vietnamese to re-arm after they defeated the single largest communist invasion of the war in 1972, there is no reason to believe South Vietnam would be any different than South Korea today, with a vibrant economy and democracy. |
