Teeje, you are a piece of work. You never went and read the reports. Maupin was going 106 at impact, and 114 before hand, not 140, its not possible to go 140 in most cars, and def not a cop car. As far as a medical condition before the accident, no. But maupin was hospitalized after the accident and was in the hospital longer than the girl. So what do you know about his conditions? How do you know he's not still suffering? How do you know he was goofing off? Were you in the passenger seat next to him? No, because if you were you wouldn't be talking a bunch of s-h-i-t on here, that doesn't concern you at all. Be a concerned citizen, but don't talk crap about something you know nothing about. Do you know Maupin personally? do you know how he feels, or how he's doing? Did he resign, yes, but so would anybody in their right mind in this situation. In any situation it is always better to resign, or quit from a job before you get fired. And i would much rather ride in a car with this "POS" man than you anyday. As far as him being out of his jurisdiction. Pull up the county lines, and city lines. He was in his jurisdiction right up until the accident. Cops are allowed to chase out of their jurisdiction if they radar in the jurisdiction to begin with. And a lot of times cops wont turn on their lights and sirens until they catch up to the car they are chasing because they don't want it to turn into a pursuit. I guess you've never really been pulled over though. And who's to say he wasn't reaching for his radio to call it in that he was chasing someone when he hit the water that was in the road and lost control. But apparantly you wouldn't know there was water in the road, because you didn't do research well enough. And they had no witnesses, and the one person who confirmed that they saw a car speed by posted on a blog on one of the websites, but they couldn't find the person for a writen statement. DO YOUR DAM RESEARCH. They can no prove/nor disprove that he was taking police action at the time of the accident. Case is already closed, get over it. You keep repeating the same stupid things over and over, and no one cares about your report. The judges have made their decisions. Maupin was given a ticket, and has a mandatory court date (just like anybody else given a ticket for excessive speeds) If your going to make accusations, get your facts straight. You want all your info call Bianca Prieto of the Orlando sentinel. Shes done all the reports on the accident. You and her can be BFF'S! Get a life.

The cop is/was an idiot and he should be hammered for this incident both in criminal and civil court. But NOBODY cares that you have a car that can do 140 and your driving skills are so great you can maintain control on wet pavement. A CVPI (Crown Victoria Police Interceptor) is very hard to get up to 140, yes it can be done but it takes a very long stretch of straight road.
