Seniors do realize, don't they, that Tarik Abdelazim who let protesters occupy downtown Binghamton would let them do the very same thing in our Broome County Parks. Seniors also realize that in the City of Binghamton they are far less safe since Abdelazim and Matt Ryan took office. In fact since 2006 violent crime has risen 50% in the City of Binghamton due to their neglect and misplaced priorities. We don't want Abdelazim to do to Broome County what he did to the City of Binghamton. Next time seniors on fixed incomes, or anybody for that matter, looks at their sewage treatment bill, keep in mind that due to the negligence of Abdelazim and his boss Matt Ryan and their former Citizen Action city council everybody in Broome County hooked up to the joint sewage treatment plant will have to cover $60,000,000 (SIXTY MILLION DOLLARS) in repairs. It is too dangerous and will cost too much to Broome County voters to keep this professional protester around.

Seniors should fear Preston. She would like to reduce or cut services many seniors depend on.

Geoff wrote: Everyone should worry about the Abdelazim the Protester in any public office. Yes, we have already seen what Abdelazim and Ryan did here in Binghamton. Violent crime here has risen 50% in six years while it went down in most places, even in this county. Seniors have been the victims of numerous home invasions and beatings in the First Ward and North Side.

It is scary to think the Abdelazim would probably bring Ryan into his administration. We can't afford to have Abdelazim and Ryan run Broome County.

Replying to your own posts only proves what an impotent coward you are Arzouian. The only person you can get to agree with you is yourself.

Seniors ----Tarik Abdelazim would rather fund his municipal wifi project for over $200,000 than keep your Greenwood Senior Center open. Those are his priorities. You have the proof. Your senior center is closed, the wifi nobody needs is still going.

You seem to be out of touch with the Binghamton political scene... because if you weren't you would know that Abdelazim stepped down from his position as Deputy Mayor to run for office... which means there is no way for him to take city money to fund a wi-fi system to anyone's detriment as you try to claim... :-P

Tarik Abdelazim presented the wifi project twice for refunding. He doesn't have to be employed by the city to present or support the project. Furthemore when the Greenman Center closed Abdelazim was still part of the administration that allowed it to close. He could have taken the $200,000 for a senior center instead of his useless wifi that covers only 10% of the city and only works outside. Abdelazim clearly showed where his priorities are. Seniors was not one of them.

Greenman Center heating system failure - late 2011 Darn you Abdelazim... if you really were for seniors you would have jumped in your time travel machine and fixed things... LOL !!!

Why would I "feel pretty stupid now" ?! I mean... If you can - feel free to show everyone ( myself included ) that $200,000 of city money was used from the time the heating / cooling system failure through the present... because that was the amount needed to fix the heating / cooling system in the center... Also - and feel free to correct me if I am wrong but - didn't the heating / cooling system failure occur near the end of 2011... while you are pointing at a document from the start of 2010... hence my time travel joke - which still stands...

and as I pointed out, the no-bid contract is once again being pushed through to run to 2014.. Of course there are dozens of places Ryan and Abdelazim could have saved money to pay for the senior center but it was not one of their priories.
