I heard that they caught the man that did this about a week ago. He was buying something in a convenience store and pulled out a womens change purse that struck the cashier as odd. Especially since she had heard that Bridgette's was missing. She reported him to the police and the DNA matched. This is all rumor...I am trying to find factual reports of what we had heard this weekend when we were there. They said he was a plumbing contractor hired by the beach house rental company and that he had worked on the rental house she was staying at while she was there. After reading the posting from AAIOU on June 6th that a 72 yr old plumber had gotten burned up in his apartment it makes you think the old guy might have worked with the guy that did this and he may have felt he knew too much and took care of him! I wish I could find a police report backing this information up so that we can know the family has found peace and we can rest easy when we go to the beach!

I knew Bridgette and her daughter and pray everyday they find her killer for the sake of her beautiful little girl. She deserves that much. Having ti grow up without her mother is bad enough, not having the killer brought to justice is worse.

Was there a ex-cop who lived there in galveston, that supposly murdered someone? He never was convicted for it. He is from Louisiana.

THEN OUR RAPE VICTIMS COULD AT LEAST KNOW THAT ANIMAL THAT OFFENDED AND STOLE FROM HER WAS DEAD, THAT PART OF THE ACT IS DEAD, HE CAN NO LONGER BE ALIVE RELIVING HIS ACT IN HIS MIND AND ENJOYING IT, NOR CAN HE BRAG TO OTHERS ABOUT THE PERSON , THE HUMAN SO INSIGNIFICANT TO HIM. AND I WISH THE VICTIMS COULD PLAY A PART IN THE CESSATION OF HIS LIFE, AS I FEEL SHOULD HAPPEN IN MANY OFFENSES AGAINST CHILDREN. I AM GLAD TO SEE THE POSTS I HAVE NOT REVIEWED IN SEVERAL MONTHS, IT IS PLEASING TO KNOW THAT ALL WHO POST HERE HAVE GENUINE FEELINGS ABOUT THESE EVENTS AND ARE TRYING AND WANTING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEM, SUCCESSFUL OR NOT.
