Was his NAME in the ad as well? That would make a little difference. I've always thought politicians should keep their faces off everything like this, because it's self-promoting for the current and future ambitions and almost always unnecessary. "Save money"? As though they couldn't have gotten a celebrity or actor to do it? Too bad Mr. Rael starts off his race with such a clumsy move and a clumsy rationalization; I had heard he was a very sharp guy - and indeed the Railrunner operation seems very well put-together.

Nothing to see here folks. Not news. Move along. Go on home now.

It's his job to make these kinds of videos. He has done an EXCELLENT job with the rail runner as far as I can tell.

Is this another one of the New Mexican's 'investigative exposes'? Like the one last week where they stirred up stupid reactions to State employees having Blackberries when the article even stated that the State SAVED money by replacing some land lines with the mobile devices?

Jeez, if these are the only kind of stories they can find maybe the paper was right to fire a bunch of reporters, because obviously they have too many reporters with too few stories to chase.

This was an obvious ploy to get name recognition of which he has none. If this is the kind of ethics he has then he needs to lose this race or better yet get out.

Wow, the media will stop at nothing to smear anyone they can! The television spots have been running for quite some time, though Rael just announced his candidacy a couple weeks ago. Get over it. You go Lawrence! You should have run for Governor!

Of course this is an advantage for Rael's candidacy...duh!!! This is the same kind of campaign and media manipulation that Richardson has used. What else has Rael learned from the Dictator Richardson?

Typical of New Mexico politics! Mr. Rael has been around long enough to know better , but then he probably uses acorn to help him register voters also--When I lived in Albuquerque, I could have voted four (4) times as they had me registered from where I lived. WOW you guys just don't learn do you.

Rael has no chance anyone who owes their J O B to Bill Richardson has no chance of getting elected here in NM. This goes for any local politicians as well, As long as your associated with Bill in any way be it your job, fundraiser you've lost a majority of your voters. NM will not stand for anymore corrupt politics.
RAEL do the state a favor and drop out of the RACE while you still can.

More taxpayer funded political ads. These Democrats have no shame. Even after the Vigil-Giron investigation.

Denish is already acting and being treated like the next governor. Why not cancel the election and use the money saved for more political ads for crooks and future crooks.

The only difference between repube adds and Demo adds is that repube adds are paid with taxpayer money given through corporate welfare! The big companies are using OUR money to keep us subservient.

No matter what this is wrong, unless every other candidate gets equal time, I believe Lawrence Rael has done a remarkable job, and is a qulified candidate for this office, still it leaves a bad taste for him, he really doesn't need this anyway, he will do fine and he will be one of the contenders for the position like others running for office, so equal time or stop running the safety tip.

The man is doing his job (and doing it well, for that matter). He's the only candidate that has any real accomplishments.

sorry dude. but your comparison is pretty lame. if i remember correctly, last week when it was reported that the state "SAVED MONEY" by eliminating land lines and going to cellular phones.. i *think* the numbers that lady cited were they >>SAVED $308 ON LANDLINES, BUT SPENT $2,200 FOR CELL PHONES<<.
to me, that isn't "SAVING" money. it's actually a pretty bad ratio.. i.e. 7:1 LOSS.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Pisces

Having to bow down to convention or limitations is enough to make you want to scream right now, and you'll do your utmost to rebel in any way you can. Be careful about this because you could easily get on the wrong side of someone who has power or authority over you. It feels as though you're battling with forces that want to keep you under control, and you don't like it one bit.
