Full story: KOB.com Eyewitness News 4 - New Mexico

A teenager from Palomas, Mexico, is recovering after a brutal attack. Maybe that badly injured teen will go the straight path after he recovers, he has to move away from that drug-infested dollar-grabbing place. Said in one sentence!

What makes you think that he was not "straight" before? All we seem to know is that he apparently had a pickup, a horse and horse trailer, so I would imagine he must have been working on a ranch or something (?). That's way better than any lame 17-year-old wanna-be gangbanger from Albuquerque. I wish there was some more information to this story - like what initiated this kind of attack? It sounds terrible.

I wish to this young man total recovery. And, to the punks that did this to him, I wish a long time in prison.

I may have missed something ... was the young man found in that condition in Southern NM near the Port of Entry on the US side after possibly being brought over and dumped and the people on the other side were watching him being treated and optimistic for him or did the assault actually take place in Southern NM in Luna County jurisdiction... the two can be separate and distinct but the article combines the two and is not clear to me ... I wish the young man a full and speedy recovery.

You forgot to leave your home address so you can pay the mexican's medical bills. What? You don't want to pay? Neither do we.

So you don't want to pay the bill, how does being ugly about it all make you feel better about things. We all pitch in to pay the bill maybe it's 5 bucks a piece, if that. when they collect for co-workers are you just as mean spirited?

I was wondering the same when it said people on the Mexican side were watching, or he managed to get himself across. Hard telling what really happened but I hope he recovers.

No, I'm second generation Dutch and my grandparents paid for a ticket and entered this country leagally. Then they learned to speak almost accent free english. Here's the big part, they were glad to call themselves "American", not dutch-american, and lived like an american. They did't expect the world to change and kiss thier ass.

Forgot to answer question. No I don't contribute to any funds other than wildlife funds. When it comes to people I expect them to stand on thier hind legs and support themselves like I do.

Topix editors don't get payed anything, it's a voluntary position. Frequently stories are places in here by an automated system called "Roboblogger" and it does it by key words (it has no brain).

I KNOW THEY DON'T GET PAID.

I'm just weary of trying to find a damned thread so I can followup.

Maybe I need a vacation from Topix.

Yeah.

That sounds good.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
