Seems like lots of families dont get along like they use too. Lots go to church and help out people that are poor constanly, but will not help out a family members! They also let people off from stealing hunders of thsounds of dollars from the churches. But will not help a family member in need! They seem to put up a front in church to keep their job. When the poor family member tells the one attending the church, that they are going to the church to get help. The family member at the church says no, that will hurt my reputation! Seems the members in church are taught to be cold hearted! Churches are teaching the wrong messages. May be the end of time is near? God bless every one rich or poor!Church members or not!

well the thing is families dont hang tight anymore because they don't have to. no one is going to feed unemployed family members if the unemployed person can get food stamps instead. no one is going to let family members stay in their home when needed if they can make the family member get sec 8 houing instead. etc.
as far as church members and or staff and their reputation, they can be jerks at home...just like everybody else. also clergy people don't actually make much money. or most of them don't. so yeah they have poor family members. and yes, this being kentucky...most everyone is not rich...

It kind of sounds like you were denied money by a family member. We are only getting one side of the story. Do you blow money on drugs or gambling? Are you foolish with your credit? Any of these or a myriad of other reasons would justify a family member "refusing to help".....enabling bad behavior only encourages it. You might say you need money for food......but WHY? Where have you been spending your money? Is your lack of food money caused by poor decisions on your part? I for one have learned to NOT bail out family members who routinely screw up their finances. OTOH, I have given thousands to these same family members when I knew they were in a hard way thru no fault of their own.
