So we have one person who just happens to be a citizen of the Sioux nation. The company's rates are really nuts and could even vary based on your home state. I am glad to see that the tribe has no involvement with this. So "Loan Shark Laws" could still apply. There would be a question of jurisdiction.
Personally speaking as a Native American I couldn't sleep at night doing business like this.
I am a member of the RoseBudd Tribe on Standing Rock Res. I am a proud Lakota Sioux and jackals like the alleged Cheyenne River sioux make me cover them with shame.

I got a title loan through Loan Max for $750. I had one payment of $100 left and the place closed down. I was finally able to track down the company after a year. They left Iowa and are now located in like South Dakota or something. Now they're telling me I owe them over $1500 due to delinquent payments to get my title back! It's not my fault I couldn't find them and they never tried getting in touch with me. I wouldn't wish this situation on anyone.

Happy for you Bronco. I went for the quick money to keep things paid. I regret that decision now.

You think that's bad try mid america title loans they charge over 300 percent interest a 3500 dollar loan woo cost you over 850 dollars a month in interest alone. if you are 1 day late they will get extremely smarty with you and start threatening to repossess your car
That is why many states, including Florida, have outlawed those title loan businesses either by regulating the rates, or making it harder for them to "legally" collect on their loan.

I think that the reason that "Payday" loan businesses still exist here in Florida is because of the size of the businesses that own them. i.e. lobbyist. What people don't know here is that "legally" they cannot go after you, except civily, here in Florida if you do not pay your loan (post dated or even currently dated check) because the law for "bounced checks" states, " ◦Accepting a check and agreeing to hold it indicates there are insufficient funds in the checking account at the time the check was presented, and if the check is dishonored by the bank, the matter cannot be prosecuted for the crime of passing a worthless bank check. The situation may be resolved in a small claims court civil suit."

I really hate when people who don't have any major financial problems make remarks about people who do have them. You had better be careful about the things that you say. One day you may end up in the same boat..........

all on your own, huh? well, I have a mental disability, and receive very little to make ends meet, I am currently struggling with my third trip through the loan blender, what changed in your life to allow you such forward momentum, has nothing to do with the lives of those you so surely assume are full of b.s.

coupla years to push a rating upwards?, or were you able to make it without default... as someone of whom occupation comes hard to, finding a job to cover one's bets is pert near impossible.

It is painfully obvious you have had help from sources belying your a coupla years ago claim, you say they are b.s. I feel you are b.s.

if you did, let someone else know so they may try and do as you, of course, since you are such a remarkable b.s. detector, you'll detect you own

A mental disability, huh? Yet you can obviously type and argue on here...not that much of a metal disability. It sounds like you're just lazy and not looking hard enough. Pizza carriers are always looking for someone to deliver, do that for 12 hours a day and you'll get yourself in the right direction. You trying to justify why you make poor decisions by using those payday loans just explains it all.

I almost tried a loan like this. But common sense said "why create another bill??" so now, if I don't have it, I go without until I DO have it. Jobs are hard to find. And for the rich people being all snobby about everything, you can lose your job too. All it takes is the closing of a business or a factory. Just count your blessings that it hasn't happened to you. Yet.

I am so sorry for your situation, but I am so happy to hear you got out of that relationship! Have you tried calling your local domestic violence shelter? I had to stay in one once & they will do ANYTHING to help you stay away from your abuser, even if you aren't living at their shelter. Please continue to have faith in God and know that He will bless you and help you through this.

I'm a mother of two and we are currently struggling a lot, we're behind on all our bills & christmas isnt much this year, but no matter how hard times get, please everyone, just be thankful that you are with those you love and try not to let the stress of being financially unstable tear you down too much. I feel your pain. Things will get better... When you've hit rock bottom, the only place left to go is UP. Good luck to you all, please be kind to one another, you don't know what tribulations others are experiencing, and your kindness may just help lift someones spirits. Happy Holidays to all.

My question then is for those of us who have already made horribly bad choices and gotten wrapped up in the payday lenders nets. Those lenders charge from 300-400 % Apr. So a 139 Apr looks like a good deal that 'could' help those unwise of us take a step in a better direction, assuming the funds are used to pay off some of the larger APR payday lenders.

Let me explain this loan sharking business for you. I got a loan from the company that they transfer you too,(Cash Call), about three years ago. I applied for a $5000.00 dollar loan but was told after they checked by credit, that I was only eligiable for a $2500.00 dollar loan. I signed my papers electronically and upon approval, I recieved a part of the contract that stated that I would have to pay one hundered per cent interest on this loan. I say again, that I didn't recieve this until I had electronically signed for the loan. The period of the loan and the loan contract was for 36 months.

I just inquired about another loan for $5000.00 and inquired about the interest rate which she stated would be 135% interest and that the period of the loan would be 47 months. I explained the above situation and she responded that I had kept the loan to long. Sure, you can pay any loan of before its expiration date but you don't get charged the type of interest rates that these people charge you. I have notified the Michigan Attorney Generals Office and find that this is nothing but Loan Sharking. No financial institution in the USA charges you these type of interest rates. Not only that when you sign a loan contract for certain amount of money, you interest rates are explained to you up front and no matter how many months the loan is, the interest is included in the length of the loan and is included in your payment. Please beware of these crooks. They say they want to help you but if it is hard to believe than leave it alone.

I forgot to tell you that when I ended up paying this loan back, I paid $10,000.00 dollars for a $2500.00 dollar loan on a three year contract.

Daily Horoscope for May 18

Gemini

Try as you might, you won't be able to convince a certain person to see things from your point of view. This character is far too busy letting you know that they're an individual in their own right and they won't be tied down by you. The more you push, the more they'll rebel, so try not to incite further displays of outrageousness.
