Y'know, I don't think all of this controversy surrounding the ELCO race would even exist if the current school board had treated their constituents with some respect.

But when they started pre-facing every decision with "This isn't a violation of the law", then you've got to wonder which decisions they made were legal.

They painted themselves into this corner and deserve the consequences.

I'm also convinced the Supt. is a lot more accountable than the parents and taxpayer have been led to believe.

Howard Kramer just got fined for violating Election laws.

Simmermon is not an architect. But claims he is.

Good lied about receiving money from ELCO in his finical disclosure forms.

3 bad choices for ELCO and for our kids to see as leaders

I'm sorry, but the fact is that ELCO was VERY OPEN with their ideas. Just because none of the people of the district went to meetings that are open to the public doesn't make it the board's fault. I live in the district, and it's funny, those who are against it are very vocal. But, that is actually the minority. Most of us don't mind, or even are excited about the change. We just don't need to run our mouths non stop. And, I also find it hilarious that these people running for the board at ELCO are talking about how they are going to do all of these things, yet, they have NO IDEA what they are even talking about... especially Mark. I guess he has been in education long enough to know how to make administration and teachers do a better job. LOL. Come on Mark. Just say you are there to try to make sure that the kids are getting the education they deserve. I myself, and most of my friends, will do our best to keep the current members who are out for reelection on the board.

Great!!! We need potential criminals and confirmed law breakers and straight out liars in the buildings with our children. You vote for the liars. The other 99.9% of ELCO will vote for change.

The current ones have proved to be liars, its time for them to go. Our taxes will soar with the bad ideas they have implemented. Want higher taxes and your children on a bus for an hour?

Wow, this will be the first time in history that the "minority" of voters swept an election.

By "VERY OPEN", do you mean when Nilsen had the board vote on including the verbiage "A non response will be considered a response"? If you think this administration is "OPEN", it's only because you sit at the same table to eat with one of them.

You'd better make plans to spend Tuesday night with a crisis counselor. Your dream world is about to come to an end.

One thing you can be certain, I have yet to meet an Honest Politician, and we need serious change in America, you all have got to vote out all candidates running for re-election who have been around since at-least the cold war era. True change comes from changing who you send to represent you.

I am running for the US Senate in 2010 against any politician who runs, I am running because we don't need career politicians governing us. It is supposed to be By the people, Of the people and For the people, right now government from the Dog catcher to The President of the US of A is for themselves and all they can stuff into their wallets. If you don't think so, I'll ask you in 3 and a half years if you are any better off than you were. Right now my life isn't any better and no one but me is going to improve it. The same is with you, only you can change your life for the better, get rid of the career politicians.

Mr. Ondrusek really gets to you other School Board members, doesn't he? He stands up for what he believes is right and the rest of you can't take it. He listens to the people and tries to act on their wishes. I've seen the exasperated looks you give each other when he quietly tries to make a motion to stop the madness at your bogus meetings. He is a man of true courage and the whole district can see that. Your nasty comments about him don't mean a thing to us. It does, however, make you look ridiculous.

Simmermon, 56, is in his fourth year on the board. He is employed in the profession of health-care architecture.

What...? Is he still sticking to the Architect skit? I thought his business cards say project manager? Another day, another lie from the current ELCO board.

You people are nuts. Upset about a new school. Unreal. You can mock me all you want, doesn't matter. The fact is that the board did everything completely legally. Boards are faced with tough decisions all of the time. Do you really think that the people that replace the current board will make a difference? it is like the Annville thing right now. They voted out good board members based on a new school, and the people that took over are idiots! They have no clue about laws or education. But, they got rid of those darn people that raised the taxes a little and built a great new school... Darn those people! It's going to be interesting to see if two of those members, who had been voted off for being part of the new school regime, get voted back on now. That would be very telling, and quite similar to ELCO. Do you get rid of people who, with the exception of one decision, have done a nice job? It amazes me that you'll vote for a complete unknown just because you are upset with one choice that you don't find popular. That is the real problem with this.

They are not "unknown". They showed up for the meet the candidate night. Can't say the same for the incumbents.
