I think it has to do with maybe the lack of management and the store being sooooooo old and outdated----it is quite pathetic

Because as more people are getting their services restored, more people are heading to the grocery store to restock everything they lost as a result of the recent storms. THINK!!! Kroger's (or any other grocery store for that matter) are getting the most business they've EVER had these next couple weeks, and so are unexperienced in the heavily increased amount of demand they are facing. They have to adjust to supply & demand, too.

So, what has been their excuse since way before the storm? I understand shelves being bare for restocking purposes to some extent. Why are they still bare today? Why have I been there lately (past couple of months) and not even been able to get the basics? I am talking loaf of Nature's Own bread, eggs, 1% milk, lettuce. Nothin fancy. Just trying to get the basics man. Why is most of the meat in the meat case rotten/brown/spoiled?

Rarely have I seen shelves just left unstocked there. I have seen some people in line in front of me with a shitload of coupons for a certain product and that person will wipe the shelves clean of it. I did notice at a lot of stores, lettuce shelves were pretty bare, but there was a recall on some lettuce not long ago. When certain items go on sale, people will stock up on them and empty the shelves. Grocery stores lose money if they overstock on perishable items. Supply/demand is often a guessing game - I'd hate to have to try to do it for a grocery store with lots of different items. If the shelves are always empty of things you're looking for at one store, give your business to another. There are 3 grocery stores in the Madison/Danville area.

The other remaining grocery stores stink to the hilt---you could not give me food from them. That is a valid point you make about couponers stocking up. However, I don't think lettuce is one of those items. It certainly doesn't stay fresh very long. Most of the recalls were for packaged/bagged lettuce. Which, if you were smart, you probably would not buy that crap anyway. It is almost always full of bacteria unless washed properly and tates a lot like plastic.

No wonder these poor men seek pleasure and company from beautiful, caring, cultured, and well bred women such as me. Tee Hee!
