What is a puppy mill? Unfortunately, we hear this question all to often.

A puppy mill is a large scale breeding operation that produces large numbers of puppies for profit. LARGE profit! Most are inhumane in treatment and care, basic socialization, and living conditions. People who run these mills have no concern for genetic complications, breeding, or just basic care. Breeding dogs are usually bred until they are of no use anymore. Confined to their cages for life, not fed right, and kept in severe cold or hot conditions. They are sick ad malnourished from the continual breeding. Then they are discarded, most likely dumped or in one case burned in barrels.

Tennessee has become one of the fastest growing havens for puppy mill owners and they are expanding rapidly to every surrounding state. EVERY state in the union is becoming infected by these scum!
You may even have one in, or very near your community right now. We are starting this petition to get stronger laws and punishment for puppy millers.

Please go to this site and sign our petition. No matter where you live, you only need to have a compassion and love for our four legged friends. Lets put an end to this horrific practice and the true "Animals" who are profiting from it. Thank you for caring.

I bought are first dog from a broker. The dog was great. She did have some genetic flaws. I learned later of puppy mills. They abuse amimals by nature. I will never make that mistake again. People that PAY pupy mills make this abuse possible....I regret being part of that.

I agree puppy mills are terrible. I have heard that most pet stores get their puppies from puppy mills but you should check to find out yourself. Your best bet it to find a breeder and go in person to see how they keep their kennel. I know there are some good breeders on this website.
