Because Governor Walker is a reasonable guy and he hoped the Run-away Democrats would eventually return to do their job - like it or not. He was wrong; they wouldn't suck it up and return to the Capitol so he proceeded with the State's work without them - within the laws as written by some of those very Runaways. Bottom line: they lost!
You nailed it. Of course that is what the governor was waiting for, and he didn't get it because they were not reasonable and were unwilling to participate in democracy. If the process doesn't work for them (democrats) then they refuse to be part of the process. It is just that simple folks. I find Flatblade to be one of the more reasonable liberals to exchange opinions and facts with. Nothing like Barbara, Yeah, Rider, or so many others from the left.

All union meetings, public and private alike, are in the back rooms and behind closed doors and locked to the public.

The world of collective bargaining is how to play the system and win...

it's the "Evil Empire" incarnate.

You got that part right. After all, it's a democrat invented procedure that BO himself taught in school and brought to the world of today's politics with his obamacare.

Are you calling our military marxist? You ought to have your nuts sliced off so you can't breed.
If the military reports to a Leadership that defends the Constitution, and not a king, I have no problem.

AHhhhh...so that`s how gov. Walker and the Republicans gave the two SPECOAL unions privlege. I wondered how the fire fighters and the Brotherhood of police pulled that off with them.

Thanks for the insight.

<quoted text> What bs. What you really want is the government and the economy run by corporate shills like Walker, and people that work for a living making two bucks an hour with no benefits. Most of you clowns posting here and screaming about your taxes, don't even pay for your share of the roads and police service. Not to mention the billions in corporate subsidies your Republithug party has been expanding for thirty years.
You want to know what a "shill" looks like go get a mirror.

The felon party tried to illegally pass this bill. It was all for nothing. Once a criminal always a criminal. Walker will have to get koch to buy the legisaltures one more time. These legislatures were flown to Washington and rewarded for this job not done. Typical GOP reward some one for job not accomplished. I thought only cops got rewarded for nothing.
Man, I don't see ANY rational arguement here. You monkey's are good at throwing poo when you're backed into a corner. You haven't seen ANYTHING yet.

If you're a realist tell me how anything the Dems do is longterm sustainable?

It's never sustainable due to the Republicans giving everything back to BIG businesses.
And do those businesses, in return, create jobs? Hell no!

Tax breaks are the major contributing factor for State deficits.

That is BS... if the states didn't over spend they wouldn't have to rape the rich, so the tax breaks is not a major contributer... Democrats can't stay on budget and they operate off of "that would be nice" instead of "can we afford it"

So when the 2012 election cycle kicks into full gear, and the majority of big corporate money ends up in the Obama bank account, what will you say then Paul? Big corporations don't give a rats ass who they give their money too. Their paying for the best government money can buy, whether an R or a D is next to the name. Do you understand that?

A Judicial overreach is expensive and a civic distraction. What is the Judge's history with non judicial judgement about mob rule and fiscal irresponsibility?

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Aquarius

You're very feisty and energetic and there's a lot you want to achieve. You'll get rather impatient if anyone stands in your way. A close emotional relationship will either be sexy and exciting beyond belief, or bad-tempered and tetchy. If you're in a grumpy mood, try to work out why - and what would improve matters. One thing that's bound to help is physical exercise, because it will burn off any excess nervous energy.
