I was there at that dance and it was obvious that the power hungry officers just couldn't wait to find the time to test out their new power trip tool. It was unessessary.

It's scary now. You don't have to be a tough guy anymore. All you need is a tazer and you can control anyone. For wimps this makes up for the school ground bullies that terrified them when they were young.

It was my understanding they were to use the tazers only if using a gun was the last resort. The tazer can kill someone. In some cases the tazer is more deadly than a gun. Was this guy threatening someone with deadly force? It is hard to believe in a small town like Volga, SD. Too bad they didn't have a tazer handy when the City Administrator tried to choke his wife to death.
