More corruption. Every day, it seems, another news story about people being corrupt. Bernie Madeoff, Nadel, a ponzi schemer in Florida, Blago, William Jefferson, on and on the list goes.

CEO Pastor Joe got quite the yearly raise from 69,000 to 588,000.
I think Joe the Con is a more appropriate title for him now and forever.
I bet Satan made him do it.

He knows the audience. If he cries like Swaggert, shows remorse and asks for forgiveness, he'll be let back into the tent.

They should have a ceiling on saleries of non profit organizations, which include churches. It's one thing to con individuals in the public but another to con tax payers on a whole. Churches and Charities are big buisness and have a large political holding.

Does anyone know the salaries of heads of charities like United Way or even the Red Cross are? United Way's regional director makes in excess of 150,000.00.

The only charity on record, where the top dog is under the 100,000 mark is the Salvation Army. These were figures from 2 years ago.

So watch what major charities you give to. Most have some pretty highly paid executives.

Most only pay out pennies on the dollar. It would be good if you could give direct help and get the same tax treatment. Instead, they make you funnel all charitable donations through an organization that tries to keep most of it, by rewarding themselves for the good deeds they are doing.

No legitimate charity keeps "most" of the money donated or "pays out pennies on the dollar."

United Way sends $.82 of every dollar directly to the organizations they fund. Red Cross sends $.91 of every dollar donated to directly assist disaster victims. This information is easily accessible on their websites.

Angel Food, however, is less transparent at the national headquarters. But I know the local distributors don't make a dime - they send all the money collected to Angel Food and everyone who works locally is a volunteer. They are all about helping local families get good food at a good price - all honorable people with pure motives.

I'm sure the local Angel Food distributors will re-evaluate their continued participation with the national organization when they learn about the Wingo family's questionable activities.

Just think of all that money they took. It could have bought more food for people. Why do those people have to be like that. They just line their pockets with gold. They will have to answer for it in due time

"So, God's done great things here, and I think he's going to do even greater."

CHA-CHING!
Indeed He has!

Hallejuah, Wingo Family Brothers and Sisters!

How sad, how unbelieveable, and how pathetic.
It's time for the local groups connected to this organization to "re-evaulate" their position.

Are these the same people that have the Infomercial-sermons on tv at odd hours professing to grant you financial miracles if you send them cash.

Sixty-nine to 588,000 can't be rationalized by lean times in the beginning. And, BTW, can they produce documentation of that entire time period? If it's not documented, it never happened. That's the rule.

Solution? Don't know, but what I do know is a lot of evil happens in the name of God.

I'd hate to see this charitable effort dissolve.

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Scorpio

If you've been surrounded by people during the past few days you welcome the chance to have some time to yourself today. It's a wonderful excuse to do something really indulgent in private, such as scoff a whole box of chocolates while watching a favourite film on TV. But make sure you destroy all the evidence before everyone else comes home!
