I should like to express my surprise and disappointment that the IJ did not include John Reed in its endorsements for Fairfax Town Council.

Thank You Walter. Maybe someday this county will wake up. Look at our novato council race. We have Eklund who will tell you anything you want to hear for your vote. Then you will not see her again until the next election. You also have Athis in this election who has ties to the three remaining seated council members. This is not a change so please vote anyone you want but these two. I will be running in the next election to chase out the other three morons

Right on, Marty! Thank you for providing your sound opinion about Measure B. I couldn't agree with you more. YES ON B!

I agree that Measure B should pass in order to protect our schools from drastic cuts. As a candidate for Corte Madera Town Council who endorsed Measure B weeks ago, I also worry about the effect of increased taxes on a handful of mid- to large-sized businesses in town. I think one way to help them out is to make sure we all do our best to shop locally. This is a win-win: our local stores get our business, and our town gets the sales tax dollars. And we provide our schools with the funds they so desperately need.

Yes on B - and shop Corte Madera!

KUDOS to M CLothing and all the other small businesses in Larkspur and Corte Madera who have stepped forward in support of Measure B!! This letter just goes to show what a great community we live in and that working together we can make a difference! I hope Ms Murphy's letter encourages other businesses to raise their hands in support of our school parcel tax!

Excellent points Marty!
Ms. Gill indeed is not thinking of the big picture and only representing the $ for a few businesses associated with the Chamber.
I shop locally to keep our community strong.
I expect the businesses to think locally and support the schools to keep our community strong.
I also would like the Town Council members and candidates to speak up and take a stand on this. Now is not the time for silence in our community. Too much is at stake for our children.

This is the third comment Diane Furst has made on Measure B. We now know where she stands and we know she is a candidate for a political office. It's about time she found some place else to campaign. She's beginning to sound very self-serving.

I make a point of shopping in stores that I know support my schools! I know that these times are not easy for anyone, but we all need to dig deep and support our children. Thank you Marty for supporting the schools!

Thanks Marty! I do shop locally to support Corte Madera/Larkspur stores and appreciate the reciprocity. We all benefit from passing Measure B.

I, for one, appreciate Diane Furst's willingness to come out in support of our schools. I think it's a shame that other candidates are unwilling to do so - especially in this environment when school budget cuts are so devastating. Good for you, Diane. Thank you for your support of Measure B. If I lived in CM, I would vote for you!(But unfortunately I live in Larkspur...).

Yes on B! This is a time when local businesses, parents, and other community members must pull together to support our schools. Our children and community depend on it.

Daily Horoscope for November 30

Cancer

The nurturing Moon continues to move through your eleventh house of friends and associates, possibly bringing a mentor into your life. There is always much wisdom that can be gained by observing the lives of others; you can avoid certain mistakes by watching them made by others. In this case, you may be faced with financial or sexual issues as Jupiter shakes things up in your eighth house of sex, money, and power... if the stakes are high, you need to think twice.
