The former ambassador of the USA in Bosnia Clifford Bond declared “Greece’s behavior towards citizens belonging to Albanian,Macedonian, and Turkish minorities
Still preoccupies the western democracies. Greece is not respecting the treaty of Lozane,
in which these minorities were recognized”.

How long will Greece behave in that way?

The Greek ambassador to the OSCE, Mr Haralambos G. Manesis became the first representative of the Greek state to officially receive yesterday a copy of the Macedonian Primer “Abecedar”, during the annual OSCE Human Dimension Implementation Meeting in Warsaw. This initiative of EFA- Rainbow comes as an answer to the recent allegations of Greek officials that no Macedonian Primer has yet circulated and was received warmly by the other delegations

“We, the members of the Macedonian community in Greece, have made the first step towards the recognition of the Macedonian language in our country by publishing this book. Even though we believe that the Greek state should have taken this initiative as is standard international practice, we still want to urge our government to finally introduce the Macedonian language to the state educational system

Greece is being urged to grant more recognition to its minority languages -- Vlach, Macedonian, Albanian, Turkish, and a version of Bulgarian called Pomak. At present, only Turkish is recognized. Now the European Bureau for Lesser-Used Languages (EBLUL) has undertaken an initiative designed to highlight the plight of these neglected minorities. In this first of a two-part series on language issues in the Balkans and East Europe, RFE/RL reports on the situation in Greece

Besides the Turks in Western Thrace and the Macedonians, Greece is also implementing unbelievable pressure on the Albanians so as to assimilate them. However all the Greeks known today as the New Greeks, who are in an effort to receive the sympathy and admiration of the world’s public opinion by claiming that their ancestors are the ancient Greeks, are in fact a mingle of Macedonians, Albanians, Ulahs and people of Anatolian origin.

Some points as about the Anton nationalist posts

1.Macedonians were and are the majority in the Greece since the medieval times.Thats why Macedonia liberated from the Ottomans EASY because the majority was the Greeks and not the Slavs. Your post indicate the Slavmacedonian that were Bulgarian macedonian and according the census were less from the Greeks in Macedonia region.

2. There is not any Albanian minority in Greece.

3. The only minority in Greece is the religion Muslim minority (Turks 50%, Pomak 30% and the Roma 20%)

What is your heritage Anton ? Slavmacedonian or Bulgarian ?
Because you are not American!!

I guess there are no minorities in greece.
No greek minorities in Cyprus, Albania, Asia Minor etc.
I say in the balkans there should be no minorities anywhere!!!!LOL

FACT: Greece has only been a democracy since the mid 1970's, dictators and facists before then.
That makes just over 30 years of democracy in modern times...lol.

The Republic of Macedonia in a mere 15 years is light years ahead with respect to human rights...not perfect but light years ahead of its neighbours.

The Macedonians have acknowledged reality.
Greeks wake up man! Give your heads a shake!

Dont be like Fonzi of happy days and be reluctant to say Im S S S S S S orry!
South Africa had a truth commission, so should greece regarding the newly occupied territories.

The Ovchar is watching...over the flock.
Get the flock out of Macedonia!

That slav minority are Macedonians.. Not greeks, nor Bulgars or Serbs.. That is the correct sector sunshine!!! My parents are from there and spoke Macedonian as their first language but unfortunately Greece does not like multiculturalism. Where is the democracy for ethnic groups?

Hardly.. Macedonia belongs to the Macedonians.. Don't worry Greece can veto when Republic of Macedonia gets into the EU. The other nations are fet up with GREECE and it's lies. They are not going to change their name as the President said. No matter what this website has a debate on, it will not change anything.. Wait till next may, we will have our way. What goes around comes around. My parents are from the GREEK part. They were growing up when GEEK soliders were pulling peoples teeth out for not speaking GEEK and called the "Bloody Bulgarians". They were kicking people out of their own villages and shooting people. If you think for a minute were are going to be friends with you animals.. N E V E R!! We hate and we are going to win this strong battle.. Like I said wait till next year, no one will help you once the world gets the name REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA.. Remember that..

Reality shows that the GEEKS are liars and the world is going to see that.. I was talking to a historian and and other people yesterday which I don't want to mention names.. They have told me that GREECE will Veto next April but other nations are fet up with them and will vote for Rep of Macedonia. The aim is to also give human rights in Northern Greece and South West Bulgaria. It will happen. These little termites on here are feeling the sting and will rot away. MARK MY WORDS. Thank you for reading..

Daily Horoscope for December 29

Aries

There are mixed messages flying around in the ether today, so be wary about drawing any concrete conclusions from what happens now. Even though you don't realize it, you may be misreading the signs that someone is sending out, which will lead to complications later on. Be especially careful about indulging in romantic daydreams and then believing them.
