Merry Meet Ripley, I was reading an article on a space in the bible that I believe David was speaking with Jesus in Heaven. They were both looking on to the burning souls in Hell, David looked to Jesus and asked, these were once sons and daughters of God, How can he let them burn for an eternity? YOu know im not really sure. I do believe we are all sent here for a purpose and until we fufill that purpose we must continue to live our lives over and over....I dont mean that if i die and i havent done what i was suppose to then time starts over but i would start life again as another being with the same purpose as my previous life....I must also point out here that until the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH came into being alot of what christians today believe is wrong was practiced by christians before them...
HEATHER---before you judge let me point out this to you christmas was not originially a christian holiday it has always been a pagan holiday but the RCC took it and made it into this christian holdiay by adding christ to the word. so your little judgement is waaaaay off. maybe do some research instead of jumping down peoples throats...

ok there rbarton first thing satan is not something we beleive in let alone worship. You might want to read some more and get your facts straight before posting things. christian holidays were set on Pagan holidays to make the conversion to christ easier on the people. That's why they took everything from us. I really do find it funny when all these "christians" jump in and read scriptures and tell us stories. We know the stories better than you. As Wiccan people we do not believe in the mythical satan, Only the God and the Goddess of the earth. There is actually a lot more to it than that, but you get the idea. I cannot believe this thread is still going. The fact of the matter is we as a people have a right to open any store we wish. If we do not believe in your god, and we are going to your hell. It would be like attending your churches anyway. We will not burn but eat cookies and talk about wimpy stories. Ooo and recreate fights, but not in anger about the people who savagely murdered our leader, but to educate to our little slave children to show them that jesus was a man, and a con artist magician.

actually i asked you to prove your point.... I do believe that you were trying to make a point to all of us by telling us we are going to hell sooooo PROVE IT.... heres the thing....with the way you talk to people about your religion no wonder more and more people are turning away from your god. no wonder your children grow up to resent waht you have forced down their throat all of their lives.... IM not going to continue to preach...(no pun intended) im not going to continue to sound like a broken record....HOWEVER I do believe that everyone needs to let sleeping dogs be. and no we dont get huffy....we are passionate about people attacking us for things they do not understand,. maybe if you opened your eyes a little and take what you were taught and put it to the test your faith will either be proven true or false.

ALL I ASK---quit judging people, quit "hell fire and brimstone" people. they wont change just because you tell them they are going to hell. just because you say we are dammned doesnt mean that people are going to jump to your conclusions.
If you want people to listen to them show them the "love" your religion talks about. show them the forgiveness your god is suppose to show. LIVE WHAT YOU PREACH!!!!! people run away from you becuase you threaten them.....

My children are just fine.I do not shove nothing down their throats. I was just voiceing my opinon justlike you do. I have put what I was taught to the test before and it has been proved to me that God has listened to many, many prayers. My husband would not have survived without them....let alone our family. The right to have that store open in downtown Haleyville is not a question of religion but one of constitutional law. Freedom of religion. Our forefathers fought and died so that we would be free from the forced religion via the Church of England. If we have the right to our churches then the same constitution gives the right to people to practice/support/offer their religions also. The have the right to not sell Bibles literally the same as Bama Fever has the right not to sell an Auburn jersey. Really. That simple. There are no legal grounds to put them out of business and by giving them all this silly coverage we have now supplied them with great advertising for free! Much ado about nothing, folks. Your children are safe and that store is now better for your free advertising.
