Thank you Mr. Carpenter for the information about the Teardrop Memorial. I didn't see or hear any media coverage of either the groundbreaking ceremony or the completion of the project. I will visit the memorial soon to honor my former friends and business associates who lost their lives in the World Trade Center on 9/11.
And thank you Russia for the gift.

A Lehighton optometrist learned of the amazing gift from Russia when his mother in New Mexico , formerly of Bucks County, contacted him at his home in Coopersburg about a monument in Bayonne, N.J. Bayonne, as it happens, is not far from the hometown of Dr.

Can't see how this was missed by almost all media . President Clinton , Gov. Corzine. US Sen. Lautenburg and Menendez.and many of the victims families were on hand.Oh well at least we know about it now.I got to try to get there some weekend soon

I agree about most of the "Berman sculptures" in Allentown's parks. They're just 5-year old's paper cut-outs on a larger scale. If we're lucky the vegetation will grow over them. Oh yeah - somebody ask W why we haven't gotten Bin Laden yet ? |

Bayonne has a population with a rich Russian linneage, so it's no surprise to me. I know my family there has mentioned this to me several times; I will have to make a point of getting over to see it next time I'm there.
Also, while you're touring around Bayonne don't forget to stop at Judicke's Bakery on Broadway - yum! |
