What about just TRION in general?

It stinks, that's why the Trion population walks around with their noses in the air. Trion schools are NOT better than Chattooga County Schools. They have a newer High School but Summerville does not have a "Mount Vernon" to keep it updated with all the latest technology. Thats why the employees of MVM don't get raises. They have to keep up that ole Trion School, better than anyboby image. It's been harder past few years because of all the drugs and rumors that fly.

I graduated from Trion School and honestly, they get a bad wrap. If you went there or knew anyone closely who did, you would know we don't think we are better than anyone, not sure why it's always came off that way but it's just not true. I loved my school and all the ppl in it, plus I grew up and have lived in Trion all my life and it's a great community altogether.

It does stink a little at times, but you get used to the smell, for the most part, LOL

Why can’t you stupid can’t get along, have to be the best, arguing assholes just let the feud end. The kids seem to get along fine and they should learn that you’re not any better than anyone else just because of what school they go too.

Here we go again with the typical Trion "holier than thou" attitude that sickens so many. Any school who can pick and choose only the students with the highest grades and test scores and cannot reach your majestic pinnacle status would have a problem, now wouldn't they. BTW, how many AP classes are offered at Trion? How many vocational classes are offered at Trion? Oh, I forgot. You don't need vocational classes because all your students go on to a prestigious college. LOL.
BTW, while you're busy giving your children the best education in the state, maybe you could also try teaching them respect for others and not to laugh and make fun of other people. I have personally witnessed on three different occasions Trion students laughing at others. It was all I could do to keep my mouth shut but chose not to get involved.
No one ever denies that Trion offers a good education to its students(the ones who can make the grades). But please get rid of the snobbish attitude. There are wonderful kids at Chattooga High School and they deserve just as much praise as anyone. I would put them up against any kid from Trion anyday of the week.

trion city schools learned friday that they had, for the third time, been acknowledged as the number one small system in the state for their services for students with disabilities. just about trion in general.

Good Job Trion....way to go, another award. I went to Trion and so did my kids....we are not snobs nor do we think we are better that anyone who went to chattooga. My husband went to chattooga.....Please don't call all trion people that.

now if a public school doesn't make ayp for what, five years consecutively, the state dept. of education steps in and strips control from the local board? have to an inprovement.

My family moved to Chattooga County several years ago and while the school systems do need help - who do we blame. The parents seem to think it is the teachers job to teach discipline, structure, manners, etc. While teacher's hands are tied with their red tape and state rules and regulations what can we expect? We have our children for a short time and then they are turned over to the system. In that short time, we must train our children to socialize and to be respectful. In a way, I suppose we are all at fault with the failure of educating our children. Who is to say one system is better than the other one? I agree it seems it is the older generation that does the harm - let it go people and look for the good in both schools.
