New Business prospects????

What can the City Government do to bring in new commerce to the area other than fast food establishments? This city is in a prime location for business growth if the city planning commission would spend more of their time growing the west side of city instead of trying to rebuild a downtown that has minimal.parking and buildings in need of structural work.

how bout a whole sale sam's or a more stores that are for plus size ppl. maybe a place for ppl to go and have fun at. maybe a 24 hr taxi service for everyone. what bout buses to run from town to town. theres a few things to think about.

Batting Cages would be a hit. :-)

Are there not already batting cages behind the parks and recreation building?

Planning to contact city commerce/planning dept concerning the use of the field next to the YMCA for building a exercise/walking track utilizing exercise stations with safe childrens play area in the middle.

My ideas for new businesses!
1. Travel center with truck parking.
2. Children/family entertainment facility.
3. Bowling,billiards,skating rink.
4. Salvation army.
5. Catherines, womens clothing,
6. Biglots.
7. Longhorn steak house.
8. Full service fuel station.
9. Non alcoholic dance,smal concert facility.
10.Com edy club.
11. Miniature golf, go cart racing, water bumper cars,water slides.etc etc.
12. Shuttle service to Montgomery hospitals and airport.
13. Holiday carnivals, Halloween, Christmas, 4th july, easter, etc etc.
14. Distribution centers, shuttle stations,
15. Shuttle service to mobile, maybe luverne.

Big plans there, Cyclops. I don't think Butler county has the population or the demographics to support all of your ides, but we need a good steakhouse.

eagle3 i agree with u on a good steakhouse. what bout more mom and pop stores. what bout things for the disable ppl. what bout a school that teaches ppl to drive and to get their learners permitts.
the more things we get in this town would help out the town but it depends on who is in charge and who can make these things happen.
