What small busineses would you like to see come in to glasgow

A nice butcher shop with a quality meat selection. For a county that is supposed to be tops in beef cattle, the grocery stores offer very little in the selection of "choice" beef.

Yep never thought about that but its a great idea!! I would be interested. The meat at the stores here isn't great. Houchens is def best tho.

A Harbor Freight store! Hate having to go to BG or having to pay 4 times the price locally for a tool!

How about an abortion clinic to stem the tide of these inbred hill folk sapping away at our nation's resources and corrupting the human genome?

I'd like to see a good seafood restaurant and I don't mean a red lobster.

A business consulting firm where businesses could pay a monthly fee and receive actual on site consulting for: operations, marketing, advertising, finance, budgeting, legal, human resources, inventory control, and business plans. Then once a month, all the businesses served by the consultant (12 businesses) would have a roundtable meeting - similar to a board of directors meeting. At this meeting they could discuss the problems that they are having and how to solve them. Everyone would have different experiences and knowledge that would help others to be more successful. When you run a mom and pop operation, you have no idea if you are meeting the correct sales level, production costs, labor costs, or marketing efforts. This could help people tremendously.

Any business where the employees don't act like they live IN Glasgow...They'd make a killin'! A killin' I tell ya.

Me too Susan but this won't happen in my lifetime. People here wouldn't pay the price for good seafood.

We need more consultants in the entitlement, disability and welfare binness. another mescan restrant would good too, one that's 24 hrs service on or about the first of ever month.

coming soon at the end of March a store will opening on the coral hill road.the downing cattle company located in fountain run. will be selling organic beef and pork grown on there farm from birth tell death USDA inspected vac-sealed.they will sale per pound at this store also will have a lot of 1 of a kind items. there meat is the very best my family has eaten this meat for over 2 years.you will not be disappointed hope you come out a support our local farmers.

They will continue this because the good bable tells them it is wrong. Then they will complain that all the kids are moving away because there aren't any good jobs. They also don't want the competition for their bootleg sales because then THEY would have to go out and get a real job cause no one would pay for their over-priced bootleg sales any more. Is this the store that "Dave" was talking about on another post? A grocery store, just past Glasgow High School?
