Promote as much competition as you want among insurance companies. Once that is done, somebody still has to pay for the risk taken, why not the person making the choice?

You'll pay more too Stan; the economy is that interconnected. You chide those who live by and work in the the ports, like Mobile or New Orleans, where your OH manufactured goods get distributed to all points.
I have family on the Virginia coast that lives on the water and they pay $1200 for full coverage on a 2000 sq ft home. I don't live on the water, but I'm 9 miles south of I-10 in Baldwin County, and my insurance has risen from $2400 to $8000 for the same size home. Any wonder why we need reform? |
