This morning the State Department is doing some work on HWY 601 before you get to the bridge that separates Yadkin and Surry County .Now , it is good that they are keeping our roads in good condition , but I am one of those many who just happen to go to work at 9:00 , and this morning I sat in line for 25 minutes trying to get my child to daycare so I could go to work , and ended up having to turn around and take him with me so I would not be late . This to me seems highly inconsiderate for them to block our roads for a long period of time at that time of the morning .Is this a way of helping the economy , by making people late to work so they could lose their jobs or harm their workplace by not being punctual ? You would think that when a person leaves 30 minutes early for work they would not have to worry about being late !
