I never met Blacky, but I did know his wife. She was without a doubt the Dina Lohan of strip club management.

I worked there in the early 80s until 1993 and I do not recall the cabins but I DO remember Roxy Roller, China Doll, Crissy Deluxx, Jacqueline Foxx, FireFox, Crystal Harmony and Tina Louise, to name a few of the greatest performers to ever work there, THOSE were the days.I also remember the fire there in January 1994. I heard about Brian McGarry's murder and saw the devastation to that family. If you want sensationalism ala The Soprano's for a book, kindly remember that these are REAL people, some of whom caught up in some things that they had no control over.

first of all id just like to say what idiots most of you are. Norman Mckay was my grandfather and though he may have done his fair share of shit who are you ppl to say anything about it? I dont care what hes done or didnt do, he has a family that still to this day love and miss him very much. And how dare you talk about someones son being murdered, you all better pray nothing like that ever happens to your family! so yous can all go fuck yourselves!

Sorry if this comes through twice, Not sure if my first try worked. I worked at Mac's 2 in the 80's as a dj and I remember all those girls, what a blast. That's when the girls did shows and had costumes and it wasn't just "bending for bucks." I was there when Chesty Morgan came through - she was an old school stripper. Never had any problems with Blackie or Tommy the owners, I kept my nose out of trouble and they treated me fine and paid me in cash. Tommy was a drinker and would sometimes get on me about not working the audience more, but half the time there were like 15 guys in the place and it just didn't work. Tommy was a character though, he bought himself a limo but then drove it around himself so he looked like a limo driver, not a rich guy. Hilarious. Blackie's wife, Cathy, managed the place and she was fun to work with. She was an ex stripper and we always tried to get her to take the stage - she never did but she was a good sport about it. Amateur nights on Mondays were the busiest, it was just a bunch of strippers from other clubs, but once in a while you'd get a real amateur who had no idea what she was in for, with all of the other amateurs going on stage with actual sets. Some of my best memories were working with the dancers and hanging out in the dressing room. The girls were mostly straight up and no funny business I ever saw. Those girls were dancers, not prostitutes and I can tell you because I worked with them. If there was something going on in come cabins it wasn't with the strippers, not in the 80's anyway.
