City tattooist's license yanked for five days

Full story: Lowell Sun

One of the city's two tattoo parlors will be out of business this week as it serves a license suspension of at least five days because its owner admitted to the Board of Health that he committed several health-code violations.

Eddie Ray once tattooed me and hacked me up, the tattoos took over 2 weeks to heal, he is unprofessional and I will never ever go to him again. I have urged many people not to go to him

I have had many tattoos done by Eddie Ray at his various shops over the years and I have nevered had a problem. I find him to be professional and clean and probably best tattooist in the city. I quite frankly was surprised when I read this article.

That was supposed to be "never" had a problem, not "nevered."

and that he failed to have his “sharps,” or used tattoo needles, picked up monthly for disposal,,

That is gross, you can get Scabies, AIDS, Hepatitis C, and a number of other ailments from tattoos when the owners fail to maintain cleanliness. He may be good but is it worth getting diseases? and possible deadly ones at that...

He did mine. The studio was clean, that was before he just got married. If there was coke there it was probably hers. She seemed like she was on something when I was there one day. They had a dog in there once it was sleeping on the floor. Just a puppy.

It's a pity the city health department has to rely on people informing them of code violations as opposed to actively seeking out and pursuing violations on their own initiative. No doubt many restaurants and other food establishments would also be summarily closed if this were the case.

id side with the people who left, a dirty studio black marks everyone who works there, think about it, you go to get a job at another shop and its on your record that you worked from a shop that was notorious for being dirty and had stuff like this going on, theyre not gonna want to hire you and people aren't going to want work done from you

that's nice that the health dept. has done the right thing if that's the case, but what r they doing about all these underground hackers that are tattooing unlicensed and claiming they are, does the h.d. gives a dam about that.they do tattoo a lot of minors, does that make them also liable for illegal tattooing.you guys should bring that up...
Sincerely,a license tattoo artist...

Isn't "disguntled" when a woman loses weight below her waist.

Do you mean disgruntled? Gunt however is very common these days.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Virgo

You're feeling restless and need to introduce as much variety into your day as possible. However, you'll want this to be on your own terms, and you certainly won't like it if plans are changed without your consent or you feel you've lost control of the situation. Try to take everything in your stride, otherwise you'll end up feeling exhausted and frazzled.
