Breanna Lucci knows her two Pomeranians -- Fluffy and Winnie the Pooh -- would not last two seconds in "Call of Duty: World at War," the immensely popular video game in which the animated gore piles high. Full Story

Hah! I was knifing German Shepherds to death in Wolfenstein-3D in 1992...when this girl was - she's 19 now - 2. Like her, I grew up with Pomeranians and there's only so much "RahRahRahRahRahRahRahRah RahRahRahRah!" you can humanly take, so the fact that they are alive and well shows that killing crazed nazi-dogs in games doesn't make you kill the really evil yippy dogs in real life.

I just realized I've seen this girl's name before, too: She's the girl they interviewed at Town Fair Tire a few months back.

you Have to be kidding me.
These kids have the values crossed. The game is a war game Its okay to see an animated persons body blowen up but killing the dog (self defense) is wrong????? Stop drinking the kool-aid they are giving you up at the ARL and think for your self. And once again The fine folks at the MSPCA have twisted the facts. in the game you can't snap the necks of the dogs or any of the players for that matter |

As an 18 year old, I often wonder how my fellow teens priorities become so out of order. I have played the game, and the attack dog part of the game is just a small part of it, and isn't entertaining at all. In fact, the killing of people isn't either. It is beating your friends or other people online that provides the satisfaction of victory. Rather then complaining about virtual dogs being hurt, why can't NDA donate time and effort to helping out at an animal shelter, where real, tangible animals lie suffering?

Wow this girl needs to get a perspective on life. She's complaining about killing dogs, an occurance that happens a few times per game, as opposed to the killing of humans which the game itself is based on. Oh well, as long as these kids aren't getting messages about killing dogs, who really cares what else is present in the game?

I think the point is that one assumes even people who play video games know that killing people in real life is wrong. You can't be so sure about their attitudes toward animals, since the legal consequences aren't so dire. After all, they're playing video games. How smart can they be?

Members of the Animal Rights Club at NDA do volunteer at local Animal Shelters. The club is not saying that everyone that plays the video game goes out and abuses animals but there are some cases where it does happen. We just want people to be educated about how they should treat animals. If we do not treat animals right then how will we treat humans right. Be respectful of opinions even if you do not agree with it.

Wow, it looks as though somebody's got a narrow-minded view of the world. Maybe you should take your own advice. Reading a book would be a lot more constructive than surfing internet forums and insulting a hobby enjoyed by millions of people world-wide. You would also come across as less of a overly-pretentious, hypocritical elitist wanna-be. |

I don't think playing a video game encourages violence toawrds animals, I think that if someone was going to hurt an anmial, it wouldn't take a game to make them do it, they would do it no matter what.

ok so not all the nda girls believe in the fact that this game will lead to the actual abuse of animals. in the game, the dog attacking is for self defense. would you just pet the dog if it came up and attacked you or would u attack it back.

I think you should give this girl a break, all she is doing is trying to make people aware of the situation if you like playing the game go for it but there is no reason you have to be nasty about it just because you think kids at private school are so rich and everything. Most people at those schools are stuggling to stay there so i think you should think about what you are saying and repsect her. If you didn't like what she had to say, who cares the people who did like it can read it and take things from it.

wow nice making assumptions that everyone at nda is rich and whiny. I dont think breanna is doing something proactive by being so involved and not being whiny at all, she is volunteering and publicly voicing her opinions.
