I've been in the court about every day and I have yet to see this place come up. I should have taken your bet about being sued 100 times in the first year. I can tell you from knowledge that they are not on the police radar like a lot of places in Lowell are. I guess you were wrong in your assumptions. lowell native III wrote: Anyone bothering to argue this back and forth is wasting their time. This entire blog was cooked up by the owner and one poor soul desperately trying to attain title of head bartender . What they both don't realize is that the girl was fed bs story that just happened to be repeated verbatim here . The police report in fact reflects the owner was identified as the person throwing the patron down the stairs as well as patron was not intoxicated. Piss poor attempt at saving some bad public relations on their part. Attacking grammar and punctuation is highly immature and just shows what kind of people are running that place. Don't worry lowell it will go the same road it always does. A year of they're lucky and don't get sued 100 times.

Well looks like what most are saying is about to come true. Bryans was just placed on probation by the license comittee. One more problem in the next year and they are cutting the hours back to 11 for six months. Its just a matter of time now. They will be closed within a year.

Why were they put on probation? My son goes there and I've never heard of an issue. He said it's one of the better places in the area. just a matter of time wrote: Well looks like what most are saying is about to come true. In april of this year, I was at brians ivy hall. After an argument with the bartender over ten dollars I was owed, I got called behind the bar to talk to one of the owners named Erik Finn. He stood there dwarfed by one of his bouncers on his left and the bartender on his right. Telling me that I should forget about the ten dollars. I told him his bar was garbage, I got pushed by Erik. After me pushing him back, I was assaulted by all three , I got beat to the ground. Broken nose, dislocated shoulder. Getting dragged down the stairs and thrown out, an ambulance was called. The officer on duty was Patrick Finn, Eriks brother,(funny coincidence huh), came to ask me what I did. I told him about the assault, he ran inside to come back out and tell me "it wasn't staff members, it was a regular bar fight and the kid ran out the back door". I left , racked up 6 grand in medical bills, while they went back to business. For a cop to watch over his family's establishment is beyond conflict of intrest This is supposevely the same officer who arrested the owner of the Dubliner a while back. Would he do the same to his brothers bar if he suspected illegal things to b going on in there? This mob type rule needs to stop. To anyone stating that place is not this type of establishment most likely are on the payroll

"Paying Customer" - I 100% believe your statement & I am SURE this activity is going on. They'll be closed soon enough. The previous owner 'Brian'(as in Brian's ivy hall) was a Lowell cop & they still shut him down after enough was enough.

Isn't that what everyone was saying when they opened up a year and a half ago? They are still open. I guess no one knows what they are are talking about.
