Tell it to Mary Jo Kopechnes family, they have been seeking real justice for years on Ted kennedy and have been denied it. At least those other Kennedy/Shriver sob's are in jail for rape and murder of their girlfriends. Do you see a pattern here on the abuse of women by Kennedy's in general or what? And dont forget about Marilyn Monroe...

I have no particular opinion on TK's case, but the fact is nobody was charged with murder in drunk driving cases back then. Drunk driving laws were reformed much later, much of it due to MADD, which was founded in 1980. Until then, drunk driving wasn't taken seriously. Indeed, it was a favorite past time in Lowell in the 1970s. Shamefully, I recall an episode where a cop pulled my friend's car over for driving without her headlights on. He decided she had been drinking and then asked which one of us was the least drunk. Everyone picked me. He told me to drive (he never asked, but I only had a learner's permit). It's not clear just that TK was treated differently, you can't compare then to today.

Tennessee Jed wrote: Are people still biatching about something that happened 40 years ago? (And yes, it is awful and TK should have gone to prison, but **** is all of this irrelevant complaining gonna do about it?) What's even more amazing is that people are so naive to think that the power elite in this country live by the same laws as the rest of us. Not true. If it were, Madoff would be getting a$$ raped in prison right now instead of hanging out in his home. Same thing for Scooter Libby. Jed , the MA people are all aware of these issues and yet they still elect this criminal to congress, year after year after year. This is supposed to be a place where intellectuals are abundant due to the numerous colleges and people schooled here from around the world. What have we really become when we allow a man like this to lead us?

Why wasn't Bush brought up on a dope charge for being dopie?
Cocaine and whiskey went to his preppy head, or courtmartialed for AWOL, or forced to pay back the 2 million he lost went the oil company his father set up for him went bankrupt, or the reckless driving ticket the was fixed in Maine while he was drunk, or the pull to get into the Texas National Guard to avoid Vietnam, or the fix to get him into Yale and Harvard Business School, or the job he was handed by the owner of the Texas Rangers baseball team, big Republican contributor, or the no bid contracts to Haliburton, or basically his retarded incompetence in dragging this country into the ground economically, or his lies about getting into Iraq- tell the families of the 4000 dead 20 year old soldiers.
Funny you did'nt ask that question.
Bush is disgraced and Ted is still working..
