Should woman on welfare be required to be on birth control?
Well I was searching for something unrelated on the internet and came across this:
What do you think? I guess the article is right in regards to the woman/family not being financially capable but is mandatory birth control the right way to go?
It takes intelligence to know if you cant properly financially support a child and to take the proper recourse instead of expecting the government to subsidize your orgasm.

"I propse she has an abortion, free from the taxpayers. Having a child is not a right. If you cant pay for it, you shouldnt have it.

No, I don't know the financials of everyone on welfare in my town, but I do know if your living on it you probably shouldn't continue getting pregnant time after time. I know that when I am sitting there and the entire room is full of women pregnant with 2 or 3 kids running around then maybe they should of thought of that before getting pregnant again. No its not right to mandate birth control but people that HAVE to live on welfare even if its for having low wages SHOULD NOT continue to have kids. If you can't afford them stop having them.

I really don't know what the right answer is but I am sick and tired of women already on welfare getting pregnant and expecting to have everything paid for via the taxpayers. Sorry but there are women out there who make it their career to be on welfare. Do I think the unborn child should pay for having such an ignorant mother, NO, but the mother needs to keep her f***ing legs together so she doesn't get pregnant.

I'm also sick and tired of people claiming that their BC failed. If any BC is used properly there is almost no chance of getting pregnant. Again I think women use the "my BC failed" because they don't want to fess up that they screwed up. Can BC truly fail, YES, but I just don't buy that it fails as much as people say it does.

if you cant afford the product of getting pregnant, figure it out yourself....dont take handouts."

How do you propose a destitute woman pays for her prenatal care and L and D without gov. assistance?

I completely agree! My husband & I have degrees & work very hard to support our 3 1/2 children, and it annoys me to see these lazy mothers carrying coach bags, driving new cars, unemployed, yet living off of every hand out the government will allow! I pay for medical bills, school lunches, childcare, food & milk, but I don't have the luxury of sitting on my lazy ass all day as these women do. How are we living the same lifestyle?! I can afford children so nobody can tell me when to stop, but then again, I'm not living off anyone's tax dollars!

Oh good god yes a woman on welfare should be on birth control. Welfare should be there to help people not to support them completely and forever. We should not be making it easy for them. For god's sake I read once that a welfare mother wanted more kids and the state was paying for her fertility treatments. Yet when someone really needs help the state finds reasons to say no. those who need help to make ends meet and I'm talking heat, rent, food, the state finds a way to say no to those people too because they work a job that can't pay everyday expenses and make too much. Welfare is there to help people get back on their feet not support them for ever.

you hit the nail on the head. woman need to stop using children as a meal ticket, a free ride and leverage to manipulate others to do their bidding. Women hide behind children and used them for power and advantage. It has got to stop. But unfortunatly, it wont..woman have been using children as leverage for decades. as far back as ww2 when woman would have children immediatly with a serviceman for the connections and support. A free ticket out of being a working girl.if he died in battle, she recieved widows comp. Woman still do it and its rampant.Welfare needs to be abolished.

I just want to go by one quote " If you cant feed them dont breed them" good quote to live by. Children are not paychecks. To many women keep reproducing to stay on welfare instead of contributing to society. If you can not even afford to put food in your own mouth or a roof over your head then you should not be having babies.

They should round them up while the kids are in school and force them to do community beautification projects. More time working= less time laying with their legs open. If a woman on welfare has another child she should lose custody of all her children, and forced into hard labor until she is menopausal.

I think paying a $10,000 bonus to undergo voluntary sterilization would work. The welfare system would come out way ahead in the long term.

i will say this and i pray its not taken the wrong way. if the females who are high school dropouts that wind up pregnant, then they loose the baby and are forced to finish school and get a job before seeing their child and being allowed to have any more.

What a lot of mean, crazy people here! Are y'all KIDDING ME?! I too have a fancy degree and am married, not on the streets, thank Heavens. We're retired and living on a dwindling Social Security check. I count my wee blessings and have been taught my whole life that "I am no better than anyone and no worse."

Pick up the "clue phone," people. I BEG you!

Until a woman and her stud can afford to pay for kids she should use birth control even if it is just keeping her alegs closed.

Welfare collectors should be neutered.

You know... I understand the point most of you are trying to make. But what about somebody who is physically unable to work. I'm going through this right now. I would love to have another child but was just diagnosed with MS. I will likely lose my job, my health insurance, everything. So should I not be allowed to bring another life into this world because we will be living off of social security disability checks and probably medicaid? If I have a support system to care for my child when I'm unable, and am able to put food on the table (yes with partial foodstamps) why does that mean I cannot be an excellent mom and raise a child who may find the cure for cancer one day??? Not all people on welfare choose to sit home and do nothing. Some are incapable of holding jobs due to issues beyond their control.

YES!!! If I am paying for your food, shelter, medication, and buying you stuff because you are unwilling to do for yourself then you have lowered yourself to the level of my pet. I can have my pet spayed and/ or nudered because it would breed irresponsibly if I didn't do so. These lazy beings have already had child A, B, & C that they are unable to support. Why should we who work for a living allow them to have child D, E, or F. They have already passed on their genetic "legacy" for what its worth. Those of us who work for a living are being punished for the irresponsiblity of others, that is NOT right!!

Why are you using sperm at all? You ought to be spayed, like every other free loading mongrel!

You have MS but want to pass your defective genes on to another child? Who are you kidding? All you will ever do is teach your kid to be another free loader. Cure for cancer...that is happening, but it won't be because of anything you're doing.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Capricorn

You feel like overindulging yourself in some way today, and why not? Throw caution to the wind and eat your way through a big bar of chocolate, or have a retail therapy session that leaves you reeling from the amount of money you've spent. There's a definite chance you could get carried away and tell a whopper of a story that has little resemblance to what really happened. What on earth has got into you?
