Seems to me running for VP would take some of the attention away that they child would need. Those are strong development years, even for a baby with such a condition. I should know, I have a five year old nephew with Down's. He needed constant care, so much so that my sister quit her job to devote all of her time to him. A psychologist could tell you that those years are the most important. Of course since you are a right-wing whacko, you probably don't believe in psychology. Or even medicine for that matter. <snip>
Now, one could claim..."claim" that a mother of five running for VP might not be able to afford her children the attention they need. You say the narcissim of liberalism causes a parent to neglect their newborn? Think of the hypocricy of those words the next time you see VP candidate Palin speaking at an event 2000 miles away from her newborn special needs child. One could also view that as not loving them as much as they should be (parental neglect is often viewed as a lack of love). Tell your thoughts that there is some food right here for it.
Where, or where, shall I start?

With the hypocrisy of "women are equal to men" liberals have been touting for years? Hmm..where are the feminist liberals now - complaining about Sarah Palin working too much and the dad not being a good enough caretaker for the children? NOW children NEED their mother, but only when it is convenient for them? Did any of them stop to consider there are TWO parents in that household? Mr. Palin will be eminently capable to be a stay-at-home father. Remember, this is a hands-on mom. A mother who REPURPOSED her cook and driver when she was elected governor (unlike Deval who probably would've hired a nanny to boot). She said, "I cook for my kids, and I drive my kids". Other working moms can do anything, but not this one because she is a conservative? Hooey. I know plenty of families who have children with Down Syndrome where one or both parents work, one right down the street where mom works and dad stays home and their kids are quite well adjusted.

My husband works and I stay home to care for our four kids, one with special needs. I can tell you if I could earn what he does, he'd be excellent as a stay-at-home dad.

Maybe what liberals are more pissed about is that Sarah Palin brought that child into the world despite the Triple/Quad screen instead of aborting it like a good liberal would. You know, kids like that aren't "fit" to be brought into the world. It's the same garbage they are pulling with autism, trying to develop "screening" tools so they can practice more abortive eugenics. If you have a relative with DS then you are probably aware those births are rare now, having dropped by about 80% when the prenatal "screenings" were developed.

As for her pregnant daughter - damned if you do, damned if you don't. Girls who have sex ed still become teen mothers. I had comprehensive sex ed in my public school - reproduction in 6th grade and the Planned Parenthood how to put on a condom in 8th. I was 17, living on my own and on birth control when I got pregnant. We even used a condom. The ONLY way to not get pregnant is through abstinence. Sex Ed does not prevent teen pregnancies, and neither can all of the protection in the world.

Where was all of this outrage when Clinton was screwing everything that moved? Back then it was a private, personal matter...but Bristol is fair game. Nice.

School sex ed is a big part of the liberal gay agenda. I hope they also teach the kids about AIDS.

Democrats would have aborted the Palin girl's baby.

The liberals were saying that the John Edwards situation was his private business yet the Palin teen is fair game ?

Let me see...a teen gets pregnant by mistake compared to an adult married man cheating on his wife who has cancer that denies the baby is his and pays the woman hush money from his campaign funds.

Just the usual liberal double standard aided by media bias. Funny how the media admitted later that they knew about Edwards but chose not to cover it.

You're probably right, however the little fella earned it. I actually cropped the original down a bit. I didn't want him to cry.
The kid wants to step into the ring with the bigboys, as you can see he's not ready for for prime time yet.
Sorry if I offended you.
How did you figure I'm not ready. Cry? From laughing.

Listen, I was just disputing the Flash's point that all liberals abandon their children. I was making a comparison to the VP. It is insane to make a general statement like that for all liberals. I would never make such a statement for conservatives. Read what lead up to the statement to see what I was dealing with.

The Flash makes gross general statements about "libs" and it is infuriating. I personally would never do that. My screen name is more of a reflection on the attitudes of conservatives on this board who start off with sentences like "typical libs". Could life possibly be so simple that you either side with the conservatives or the libs on all matters? I know I can't. I am a member of the NRA for crying out loud (like everyone else from Wyoming).

Moi? Libertarian probably fits me best. Fiscally conservative, for smaller government, and socially liberal (e.g., I don't care what two or more consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home as long as innocents aren't getting hurt and I don't have to hear about it or give them special anything for doing it!).

Liberals have just as many skeletons in their closets as conservatives do. I don't think you can or should legislate morality. I don't think you can or should legislate affirmative action. Everyone should get by on their own merit, regardless of age, race, gender, etc.

I also have a Class A LTC, not a member of the NRA yet though.

Public school girls have sex earlier and Catholic school girls have sex their first time with less birth control. Those same parents that acted like they have protected their children by not sending them to public school are the same ones whos kids know nothing about sex and need sex ed.

Here is an example of what your children might receive in school.

This is now considered health education.

Would you give this to your children?

How many of these precious little gems are watching TV - Tila Tequila, The Real World, the Hills, all it is is crap about sex, and booze. Shut it off!!! Monitor what the kids are watching, read there myspace pages you will be surprised at what you find. Everyone want everyone to but out but it is time to but back in. Kids these days need the adults in there lives to be strong and not watch this crap. Get to know you're neighbors, stop and hold the door open for a stranger, do some random act of kindness.. show these kids that this garbage is exactly that GARBAGE

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Gemini

You're in a warm-hearted and generous mood today, especially when dealing with loved ones and members of the family. You want to give them as much of your time as possible, and also to do anything else that will keep them happy. The only snag will come if you're trying to spread yourself too thin and you end up making promises that will be difficult, if not impossible, to keep. You may forget all about them but other people won't.
