-- Five Arrested in Two Hobbs Shootings

Good thing they did not commit a misdemeanor crime, because Magistrate Judge Martin would have given them a 25,000.00 cash only bond. This is another example of LEA COUNTY JUSTICE SYSTEM allowing Felony crimes to have low bonds while misedemeanor crimes are treated like CAPITAL OFFENCES. When are the people of LEA COUNTY going to realize that the LEA COUNTY JUDGES are uneducated and dont seem to know how the Justice System should work. FELONIES ARE TREATED LIKE PETTY CRIMES WHILE MISEDEMEANORS ARE TREATED LIKE CAPITAL OFFENCES, ITS TIME TO IMPEACH THE JUDGES OF LEA COUNTY.

We agree!!! But the good old boy system is alive and well in Hobbs. So how do you go about impeaching judges, I would really like to know...

So let me get this right. If we can impeach the judges in Hobbs then all the shootings with stop? This is probably a shocker to you but the accused in the United States have a right to a reasonable bond. That is not a judges rule but believe it or not, a constitutional right. This will shock you also but the accused are actually considered innocent until proven guilty as determined by a jury of our peers. You can not impeach a magistrate, they can only be removed by the NM Supreme Court and then only for malfeasance while in office. I know that malfeasance is a big word for you but trust me when I tell you that you being pissed off at the "good old boy judge" is not considered malfeasance. Don't you just hate it when someone uses facts to support a argument instead of pure emotion?
