im lost. why does he have a escape trial?
He should rot in jail. I also was at the funeral. His actions were not of a caring father but a person that was preoccupied with something else. Let him rot.

If he did this horrible crime and u worked with him, didn't u see he was capable of being a horrible person? Or did he portray to be a good person? |
No |
AOL |
And what did he do to portray a bad person? If he was bad why didn't someone say something?
AOL |
He was a fireman? How did he get that job? And he didn't show any sign of being crazy?
The people that hired him did not do a background check. He was (is) a smooth operator. Cool when he needs to be and a completly different person when things are not going his way. Again let him ROT!!

My husband worked with him too...and I worked with Amy and Lisa.
He's guilty. He confessed, he knew where the gun was in the field, it was obvious he staged the shooting at the cemetery. I was the one who called him and told him something happened to Amy. His first question was if she was dead. Not what happened, not is she ok, just if she was dead. When I saw him at the viewing he was fine until I walked up then he broke down so bad he couldn't speak. In the days after the murder, when everyone was at the house, their house was meticulous. Amy tried to keep their house clean and neat, but they had two children, a toddler at that. It is impossible to keep a home as neat as it was. That seemed planned on his part. He picked up the Explorer and told he sales person he was showing it to his wife. He knew I or others would recognize his truck in the parking lot and say Hi if we knew he was there. He didn't want to be recognized. I was standing in the parking lot with others minutes before it happened. He was watching us and waiting for her and Lisa to pull in. He only began to act differently the few weeks before he did it. He and Amy were fighting about some things and he snapped. His act was premeditated and he is a murderer. As a Christian though, I do hope he repents and comes back to Jesus so he can see his wife and kids again some day. She really did love him....she told me a few days before it happened. |

I am wondering if any of you knew of Raymond Wingfield's other casualty. That is, besides Amy, his kids losing both parents, and Lisa. My friend and co-worker, Paul Wooley, was the man the bumbling McKinney police first arrested for good 'ol Ray's rampage. He ultimately died in 2004 from the stress, humiliation, and trauma brought into his life by this moron. He never quite recovered from the aftermath. He asked me several times what it was about him that would make the police, co-workers, and neighbors think he would kill someone. Having suffered a heart attack in 2002, a year before Ray's rampage, the strain was too much for him. He was an electromagnetics engineer and by the time he died, he was living in hotels paid for by other people. Hard to get a job when you're face is plastered on TV as a killer....the only favor Wingfield did for anybody was to pull the cemetary stunt when Paul was in jail, thus freeing him. Mark Donald of the Dallas Observer wrote a very good cover story on Paul and it includes some facts you may not know about Amy's murder. One thing I would like to find out and it sounds like there are a couple of people here that may know this. In the Dallas Observer article, he found out that a woman walked into the McKinney car dealership where Raymond rented the Explorer, threw the keys on the counter, and said "These belong to the shooter" and left!(I have not read the article in a while so this may not be exact) This was on the afternoon of the killings. Does anyone know who this woman was?

Dear "What about Amy",
I am a friend of Paul Wooley, who was first arrested for Amy's murder, and later died because of it. I posted a couple of items on the topix.net forum you posted on. You might want to read a story written about Paul and the whole thing. It is at: http://www.dallasobserver.com/Issues/2004-03-... Or go to www.dallasobserver.com and search on "The Wrong Guy"

Sorry about the lose of your friend. He did kill himself. It's a selfish act for one to do that. There is help for depression. Also you started he was living in hotels paid by others. Quoating from the Observer "Wooley tossed his badge on the table and said,'Mark, you're an asshole. I quit.' ". He quit. He did have a good job but he chose to end it. He could have stayed.

The coroner's report stated he died from an overdose, but it turned out to look more "accidental" than intentional. Paul was a private person and was very nervous and worried before his court case. It appears he took too much of his pain medications. We talked to him the day before. He was very happy. He had just won his case and some vindication for himself! As far as quitting, people quit every day and find other jobs. But it leading to being arrested for murder 24 hours later is not the usual result! He did not know Wingfield would kill his wife 2 hours later. He was taking a trip, for gosh sake, and had interviews set up when he returned. Needless to say, they cancelled. The coincidences and assumptions that led to it all are staggering. It's amazing the effect this one selfish, needless, and stupid act had on so many people.
