This is absolutely ridiculous and UNACCEPTABLE. The school district NEEDS to find a way to change the bus routes.

Homeschooling is an option if you are not happy with the districts choices

some people in other countries have to walk 3 times that distance to go to school, and in other places they have to walk 6 times that distance just to get water per day. so stop whining!!

It figures that this is the type of story that would come from Boulder. When you purchase a home, most parents research the schools and details. Most schools bus only if you live 2 or more miles away. If these people think busses should be available for areas within the two miles, let them take a vote to pay higher taxes so the can pay for their indulgence.

That happens when we build subdivitions with very poor planing. People always wants to live outside city limits and then they want all services. Then, their children and those who can't drive are those who pay the consecuences There should be a law that forces every new subdivition to pay taxes for bulding new schools near those places. Also will be very good if they force this people to pay RTD taxes or other public bus service. Kids should not be walking long distances to reach the school. I say, if you have children, you should not be living outside city limits.
