In a city with a median household income of $95,034, I am surprised anyone noticed.

Why the price gap? Frisco Mayor Maher Maso explained that Frisco has an ordinance restricting the number of gas stations in the city. "You can only have a maximum of two per intersection, and you're not allowed mid-block service stations," he said. "In other words, you can only locate on corners."
That means less competition, and typically, higher prices. hits the nail on the head right here.... Mayor Maso said that the ordinance — along with Frisco land prices, building prices, and the economy in general — is driving new station owners away and fueling higher prices. I follow Mr Maso right up until "typically higher prices" Mayor Maso, in my opinion is a good man. I was employed by him fifteen years ago at one of his gas stations. But being a working man still, I will drive a few miles down Coit to save a buck and give my money to someone else. |

They are as little as $1.97 right outside of town.
