The difference is that there are now way more illegals in this country and many of the illegals that are here are now taking from the welfare and tax system at a time when American citizens are struggling to get by,it is very unlikely that there will be any kind of amnesty for illegals in the next 20 years,who knows after that,at this point 65% of American people want more deportations a stronger border protection and to limit illegals access to welfare and other social services,hardly an environment ripe for an amnesty programme.
