What about the traffic accident that CLOSED at least a couple of blocks of Topanga Canyon Blvd at Saticoy in Canoga Park for HOURS last night? Is no one covering that one? It seems like a much worse accident. There's no accounting for arbitrary local news coverage these days!

Find something worthwhile to do with your life. How about a bit of charity work. Your non-stop, anti-Hispanic bigotry adds nothing to the conversation, and only shows what a jerk you are. It seems that you spew your loathsome venom in every news story here, no matter what the topic. There is nothing in the article to indicate anything about ethnicity. Your world must be dark, seething and miserable. Why not move to the desert so you can howl at the moon, and not pollute this site with your unmitigated prejudice. Your one-note samba is more than a little boring, ugly and sick.

Accidents happen but let's face the facts. Nobody was wearing a seatbelt and she was not licensed to drive. There are two violations of law here. I would call that child endangerment.

I stopped to see what happened around 8:00pm. Strangely, I passed through Saticoy and Topanga at 5:45pm. Apparently the acident occurred around 6pm. The story I got was that the motorcyclist was heading East on Saticoy and ran the red light while two vehicles (one heading South and the other heading North) passed through on green lights. 2 cars vs. 1 motorcycle= one F'd dude. One of the girls who works at Walgreens was in the parking lot talking to her fiance but didn't see the accident but the rest was too much already.
She said the motorcyclist was ran over by two other cars (one of which just kept going) "Honey, what did you run over?" "It was a huge pothole. Get used to it. We're in L.A.!"
I have no idea if the motorcyclist died but word had it that an LAPD car was on the scene within seconds since they were only a block away. The LAPD officer kept the motorcyclist awake until they loaded him into the ambulance.(I figured the cops would just shoot and put him out of his misery but, apparently, they have a heart for mankind after all).
It really screwed up traffic though. As if these numbnuts can't drive well on a good day, let's shut down an intersection and see what they do.----Word of advice, learn the roads and make an alternate route to get home. You may need it someday/night----

The man on the motorcycle was my nephew - he would have been 30 years old on November 27. While some of the "flip" things you said in your comments were very hurtful and I pray that his mother never sees this, I was glad to have a little information as to what happened that night, as very little information is being given to us, As the first person who commented on this accident mentioned, there has been absolutely nothing in the news or online to give us any answers.

My nephew has a 5 year old son, and family that loved him. He died 3-1/2 hours after the accident. There were 25 doctors and nurses working on him & he was given 40 pints of blood. The head nurse told my sister after he passed that she should not go in and see him - he looked that bad.

So again - I am glad for the information, but try and post comments with a little more sensitivity as to who might be reading them.

This was my cousin. He was a generous person who had a great heart and didn't deserve to die the way he did. He was 29 years old and had an entire life ahead of him. He had a son who adored him and a family who loved him. He was the Man who stepped up when our Grandfather passed away and will be forever respected for that. I find it offensive that all the news channels felt his story wasn't worthy of broadcasting let alone posting it on the internet. I, as his family, would appreciate any "insider info" when it comes to the actual accident scene and or aftermath. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

To the family,

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I too was surprised that there was no mention about the accident in the news. I was taking my wife to work, as she works evenings, and we go through Saticoy and Topanga Canyon on a daily basis. The ambulance passed us by as we approached the intersection. By the time I reached the intersection, the police had already blocked the flow of traffic on all streets going into the intersection. Traffic was also redirected through the parking lot of the shuttered smog shop on the corner since the ambulance blocked the northeast corner of the intersection. "Did you see that?", I asked my wife. She said "No". I told her that I saw a body lying on the ground. This was around 6:45pm and it was getting dark. There was alot of people looking at the accident scene on every corner. The police looked really somber as they redirected traffic. I barely got a glimpse of the paramedics as they approached the body as I turned my car into the smog shop parking lot to reach Topanga Canyon to go north. Again, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Besides, if she was Mexican, there would have been 10-12 people in the car, not just 4.

BTW, it appears that school didn't work out too well for you--not only from your inane attempt at humor, but from your incorrect English. You are using the subjunctive mood, which requires "if she were," NOT "if she was." Perhaps evening adult school could help you out.

the man who died was my older cousin. He and I were only a year apart in age, and growing up we were best of friends. We spent countless hours working in our grandfathers shop together, and raised all types of h*ll!

There is a saying, "what you do not know, cannot hurt you". In most cases, I believe this to be true, however in this case, not so much. My cousin grew up on motorcycles, and it just doesn't make any sense.

If you do have the details to this accident, please share. E mail is dealinfoam at yahoo dot com

rest in peace Kort, I love you!

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Sagittarius

Slow down! You're trying to do too much and it's driving you - and everyone else - up the wall. What's more, if you're in too much of a hurry you'll start to become accident-prone and that will make you even more het up. Try to take any setbacks or domestic mishaps in your stride, otherwise you'll end the day feeling like a nervous wreck.
