I do not have a problem with what Christians believe to be a marriage but what I do not agree with is putting those beliefs in the constitution or laws. The argument is always if they wanted .... They would have put it in but this is when that argument is invalid... 1st Amendment says it all... Make no law respecting an established religion ( they put this in so they couldn't establish a religion or prefer one over another) or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ( so you could be Baptist or Catholic or Buddhist ) and since it was put at the beginning don't you think it is pretty important in their eyes?!
You are a bit confused in regards to the 1st Amendment. While it most certainly prevented the federal government from establishing a religion, it did nothing of the sort in regards to the State's. Many had established religions and laws based on such right up until the 1960's when the SCOTUS decided that the founders didn't understand the meaning of the Constitution and declared such practices unconstitutional. This is just one of the any errors the SCOTUS has made in regards to its incorporation doctrine, and is nothing more than the Federal Government pulling power from the people and the States to govern as they see fit in all matter's aside from those expressly given or forbidden by the Constitution in Article I sections 8 and 10. Since you like the 1st Amendment so much, perhaps you should read the 9th and 10th.

....oh that's right The States get to make and pass laws that make people second class citizens and deny them the rights that others get ( no that would be 14). That's is why slavery is still ok in the south ( no that would be 13) or woman can't vote ( no that would be 19) and vote can be denied to someone because of race ( no that would be 15) and if Bush would still be President if he would have decided to run again( no that would be 22) See I will did you one better I read all 26 and realized I liked a whole lot more of these amendments that I thought I did.

You people are all closeminded bigots. If me and my boyfriend Range want to get married, have sex with young boys, or even perform oral sex on each other on a park bench in front of a playground full of children (as we have done in the past), then we should be allowed. This is America and our rights are being violated! Stop the hate against gays!

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Aquarius

There simply aren't enough hours in the day today for you to do everything that's on your list, so concentrate on the priorities. Don't feel guilty about what's been left out and start to worry about it. This isn't an easy day because you're feeling pressured and anxious, so don't expect too much from yourself. There's less energy than usual, which doesn't help.
