Great job RBPD. Maybe some of the othe other cities will follow suit and take these unlicensed, uninsured and maybe a few undocumented workers down.

Oh - not surprising that they find these guys have other outstanding "issues" - it would stand to reason that if you don't think it's necessary to play by the construction rules, you would ignore society's other rules also. Many times it starts with ignoring the border rules.

Campos said, "They should be looking for really bad people."

Duh, Campos, you are one of the very bad people! You are a criminal!

Great Job RBPD. I guess Campos doesn't realize how many people nationwide have been screwed by licensed and non-licensed contractors requesting a larger sized deposit than the law max, or requesting money for materials, which exeeds the law max. And the worst part, how many licensed and non-licensed contractors start a remodel and never finish the job or do it wrong and don't stand by their work when it doesn't meet city codes.

Other cities should be doing this on a regular basis as well. How about all the other businesses that operate without licenses? They are depriving the cities of much-needed revenue.

I have been a licensed contractor for the last 30 years, and it has always been a problem with these people, they under bid you and get the job because people want to save money, the problem will always be there unless more stings happen. Just remember that if they get hurt on your property they will sue you.

Bravo! Run these guys out. Every day when I get home there is some business card on my door knob with a rubber band. Most cards have no business license # and the ones that do may not be theirs or a real #. These people are pulling down wages and ripping folks off. Keep up the good work RBPD.

my boyfriend owns 2 bobtail trucks and has the proper lic & numbers. but in the trucking industry there is more that are not properly licensed then are. it is so bad. he is constanly lossing jobs and having to lower his rates to compete with the not licensed guys. And if the job itsnt more than 500lbs they have to loose money on the job with the gas prices and waiting at the airlines.
Please do more of these type of stings!!!!!!

People hire folk like them, because "legit" licensed contractors like you charge up the ying-yang for poor, half-ass jobs. I speak from experience.

Isn't there a Pedophile that they can bait into some kind of crime instead of these (mostly) descent, hard working, family men?
and to waytogo maybe if your boyfriend had an education he could have gotten a job that wouldn't have competition with illegal aliens.

My father does this kinda work and he is from a foreign country. And your boyfriend should of got an education so he would not have to compete with undocumented workers who most of the time do the job better. I do not agree with these type stings but hey its all part of the job.

Homeowners should always use license contractors. especially tree trimmers, plumbers and electricians . Take a chance using non-license , you may be liable for death or injury of any worker on your property plus the State Board is limited if help is needed.
