All I can say is its about time. Men (and women) who make a conscious effort to avoid paying to support their own flesh and blood are, in my opinion, lower than pond scum and its wonderful to see the country finally doing something about it. My son's father owes over $15,000 in back child support, and hopefully he'll make the list someday when the worst offenders like Abdoul Sesay are dealt with.

Wow, its amazing to me how many people posted here that are opposed to the DA's office and the County for dealing with a huge problem. Yes, its long overdue. Yes, they've been totally inept at dealing with this n the past, but its a start. There is an entire generation of kids out there who needed that money and moms who were trying to make ends meet. Those posters who think its a waste of taxpayer money should consider how much taxpayer money goes to helping those moms out with food stamps and welfare checks because they can't put a roof over their kids' heads and food on their table. And to those of you having one kid after another without the money to support them, you need to keep your legs crossed and zip up your pants and stop making the rest of us pay for your ignorance.

A person who has deprived his child/children of so much over the period of time he has been so delinquent just gets a slap on the wrist, sent home on his own OR and told to have the money by May 1, after he has already avoided payment for so long? What the hell is wrong with this picture? He fled once, what makes you think that 90 days in jail is going to make him pay. Is this compensation enough for the misery he has caused? I don't think so.

Over the years the DA & Child Support have gone after me for child support to a child that isn't mine. I have spent countless amounts of monies proving that the child was not mine ( attorneys & even DNA testing ) The DNA tests proved my case in court. But the DA & Child Support Depts. are still hounding me for payments. They have taken from my paychecks, attached my checking and savings accounts. Stolen all the monies that I have earned over the years. Even after the child was proven not mine.
To this date they are still going after me. They have put my family throu Hell and back.
I thought this legal system of ours was fair. I was wrong! Once you get in the Child Support System, you are screwed for life. They will not correct there mistakes, even when a Judge orders so.
I have NO FAITH IN ARE LEGAL SYSTEM regarding Child Support & the DA's office after what I have been going thou.
I understand now why some parents go work under the table to support their familes. You can't get justice in the Los Angeles Child Support System. It's one-sided only, being there side!!!
I truely feel for anyone how has been a victim of the Child Support & Da's Dept.

Why don't you do a story about all the innocent men that LA County and their shysters literally steal from fathers who have NEVER missed a child support payment? I should know, for the past two and a half years, these thugs have violated court orders that told them to cease and desist their fraud against me. The court also ruled that I have actually OVERPAID my child support. One of their shysters finally admitted, just a few months ago, that LA County has literally been stealing my money and giving half of what they're stealing from me (for the previous year and a half) and giving my money to some unknown person. Of course, that hasn't stop the LA Co. shysters from continuing their thieft. Their chief shyster, Lori A. Cruz, and her thugs are the ones the really deserve jail time.

My friend just told me about the Daily News Story. I've read it, and I've read the postings. Top this one for Child Support.
My ex-husband was ordered to pay $500 something a month. He went to jail, the child support payments stopped. After he got out of jail, he started gang banging again and sadly got killed. The Child Support had a case on him over the years. They never really did anything. I found out that I could get SSA from Social Security for my daughters throu his SS number/benefits.
I now have been receiving SSA of around $1800.00 per month for the past 14 months. It will last unitl my kids are the age of 18.
No one in Child Support every told me about this program. What a bunch of DUMB F_CKS they are. I'll bet these people couldn't even screw a light bulb in right. In death my ex-husband is taking care of his daughters, no thanks to the Child Support Dept.
Also, I have had those same people knocking on my front door over the years looking for him. What a bunch of Crap they are. If you have a ex-husband that passwed away and have kids. I recommend you call your Social Security Office and file the the SSA benefits. All you need is the death certificate.
And by the way, the Child Support Dept in Los Angeles SUCKS, Social Security is better run then you fools.
